Sage Griffin had felt safe within the walls of the Castle of Yona, under the King’s protection. But when a handsome stranger appears at the feasts celebrating the Great King’s reign and turns her life upside down, Sage starts wondering whether safety was ever the same as freedom. Was it truly enough to fill the longing in her heart? Or was it time to step into the unknown and risk everything for a chance at something more… something real?

The Windy City series by Liz Tomforde deserves ALL the hype it can get 🏙️💞

I really enjoyed every single book in this series (I still have yet to read the spinoff), BUT “Mile High” has a very special place in my heart <3
The characters, the chemistry, the banter… all of that and more is just SO good. We simply love a cocky MMC 🙂‍↕️

Have you read it yet? If so, what’s your favourite book in the series??

I am at a loss for words.

No TV series, no movie, no other books has ever mattered as much to me, as this series does. Feyre and her family, the world of Prythian and everything inbetween and around these two have saved me in more ways than one. But no amount of fancy little words will ever be enough to describe the way I feel about these books, so just enjoy the excitement written all over my face <3

Q: Have you read Direbound? If so, did you like it?
•
•
Direbound is said to be Fourth Wing but with wolves and although I wasn’t a fan of FW, I only needed to hear that it‘s about wolves to buy not only this book but the second one as well 🙂‍↕️
And since @lea_creativity said that this I really good, I have high hopes!! 😌

I know I asked y’all in my story what you wanted to see, but before we get to that, I thought some sort of official „I‘m back!“ post would be appropriate.
I haven’t been showing much of myself on here lately & that‘s due to quite a few different factors with time being the biggest one.
I recently started my „Referendariat“ which is a kind of training in teaching and that has taken up like 80% of my life and time.
But I miss reading and I miss yapping about books on here and I freaking miss taking pictures, so hopefully this is me officially coming back to this account (which hopefully isn‘t completely dead yet 🥲)
Anyways.. what did I miss while I was gone??

feeling kinda vulnerable sharing this but I had to get it off my chest

Getting famous, being a full time author or any of that was never my plan.
But deep down I had hope that I would reach more people with ADWTS than I did. I had hoped that Sage‘s story, how she went from a damsel in distress to kind off a real badass, would reach people in a way so that they would feel seen and maybe even inspired.
To be really honest I kind off published my debut on a whim and I would do a lot differently if I were to ever publish something again, so I get that I was naive, thinking that that little marketing I did would bring my book on the shelves of more people. And, like I said, I never expected to make big money off of it, but seeing others succeed in a way I didn’t hurt. And yes, I know that other people‘s support doesn’t dim your own and that comparing yourself to others is not healthy for anyone, but I did. I still do. It‘s hard not to tbh, but I am trying and learning.

In no way is this meant to be a pity post btw, I‘m just trying to share that publishing a book isn’t always a completely positive experience. Also in no way am I saying that publishing ADWTS hasn‘t brought me any joy, it did! Just not *only* that.

So, prepare to be sick of me because I will be posting about my book more often in the future and I will try to be the proud mom of it that I am <3

green stack — what’s the last green book you read?

For me I think it was one of the Chainsaw Man mangas, but on here I put some of my favorite green books ✨

Have you read any of these? If not, I can only recommend them alllll

Books featured (bottom to top):

Twisted Lies, the last in the #twistedseries by Ana Huang, a classic na romance series about four different couples. Twisted Lies follows Stella and Christian through their path of lies, secrets and toe curling seduction — fake dating, forced proximity, brooding, morally grey billionaire x sunshine butterfly social media girly

King of Envy is the 5th book in the #kingofsins series, also by Ana. This one follows the tortured billionaire Vuk Markovic and renowned supermodel Ayana Kidane. It’s a forbidden romance about a scarred billionaire who falls for his best friend’s fiancée — forbidden love, an obsessed MMC, grumpy x sunshine, he falls first

Hopeless by Elsie Silver is the 5th and last book of the #chestnutsprings series, aka a spicy small town romance about a tortured, ex-military cowboy and a misunderstood bartender who enter a fake engagement to get their respective families off their backs (in this household we love tortured men with dark pasts, obviously) — age gap, forced proximity, secrets and lies, ex military

Play With Me by Becka Mack is the second book in the Playing for Keeps series, aka a steamy, enemies-to-lovers hockey romance — brothers best friend, forbidden romance, forced proximity/ neighbours

Terms and Conditions is the second book in Lauren Asher‘s #dreamlandbillionaires series. It follows the story of a grumpy billionaire CEO who needs to marry and have a child to inherit his family’s media empire, and his assistant who volunteers for the fake marriage — fake marriage, billionaire romance, workplace romance, slow burn

And lastly: Ignite Me, the third (and my personal favorite) book in the #shatterme series by Tahereh Mafi and the only book featured here that is not part of an interconnected standalone series, so I won’t be saying to much about the plot 🤭 by @buchfate

My annual reminder to y’all that I did in fact write and publish a book which is on KU 🙂‍↕️

The vibes are if acotar, the plated prisoner and fbaa had a baby so you already know it‘s epic romantasy with lots of secrets, hidden places and drama baby
