Your athletic journey doesn’t have to end when one chapter closes. 👇🏾

I went from playing football to competing for a position in bobsleigh. Different sport but the same foundation, athletic performance.

You never know where your athletic journey might take you. The key is building a foundation that allows you to develop and perform.

Don’t limit your potential to one sport. Be the athlete where the possibilities are endless.

If you’re an athlete looking to improve your speed, strength, and overall performance, DM me “ATHLETE” and let’s talk about your goals.

Here’s a look at some of the exercises I use in my own training.

Each has a different purpose, but the goal is to build qualities that carry over to athletic performance.

Strength is important, but how you use it matters. 👇🏾

Heavy bench, cleans, and explosive movements all serve a different purpose in my training.
Building strength is one thing. Learning to produce force quickly and apply it to sprinting is another.
It’s not just about how much you can lift. It’s about making your training carry over to your performance.

Train with intent. Focus on quality. Build speed with purpose. ⚡️

Can you spot the difference between these two 10m runs? 👇🏾

The first one, I pop up too early and lose that forward drive.

The second one, I stay lower and push forward, putting more force into the ground instead of coming straight up.
Those first few steps matter.

The goal is to project forward, build momentum, and accelerate with purpose.
Small adjustment, big difference.

Train with intent. Focus on quality. Build speed with purpose. ⚡️

How sprint training carries over to bobsleigh 🏃🏾‍♂️🛷

Sometimes sprint training isn’t just about getting faster on the track. A lot of the same qualities you build through sprinting carries over to the bobsleigh push. Acceleration, explosiveness play a role in those first few steps.

The goal is to take what you build in training and apply it to your sport. Different track, same idea be explosive and get moving fast.

Train with intent. Focus on quality. Build speed with purpose. ⚡️

A few drills to help build MORE EXPLOSIVE acceleration 👇🏾

Getting faster takes work, and these are some of the things I’ve been focusing on in my own training.

Here’s what I’m working on:
1) Kneeling starts Improving my first step and learning to drive forward instead of popping straight up.
2) Hill sprints working on power, acceleration, and driving through each step.
3) Weighted hill sprints adding resistance to challenge myself and build strength through acceleration.

Always looking to improve and get more out of every session. Train with intent. Focus on quality. Build speed with purpose. ⚡️

Your first step is killing your acceleration 👇🏾

If you want to become MORE EXPLOSIVE, you need to understand how you apply force into the ground.

Getting faster isn’t just about running harder. It’s about improving your mechanics and ability to produce force quickly etc.

Here’s what to focus on:
1) Your first step matters. Stop popping straight up and aim to project yourself forward.
2) Drive lower. Apply more force to build a powerful forward drive and stay aggressive through your first few steps.
3) Add resistance. Sled sprints with resistance can challenge your ability to produce force while accelerating,
The goal is to make every rep count.

Train with intent. Focus on quality. Build speed with purpose. ⚡️
