Once a… month at least? Please?? 🤨 by @bumiber.suara
Bumi’s first day of school in Indonesia. It’s prolly just another first day. Howevrr, for him, it meant leaving behind the only world he had ever known. The friends he grew up with, The teachers who knew him, A language that felt like home, Yesterday, before bed, I asked him how his day went. He quietly said, “I didn’t talk to anyone, Dad. I only talked to my teacher… there are sooo many people but my friends dont understand me.” And so that’s why he held back his tears all day. That’s why the moment he saw me, he broke down. He then fell asleep on the way home, As I watched him sleeping, I realized something. Growing up isn’t always about learning something new. Sometimes, it’s about having the courage to start all over again. Well, I’m proud with him Not because he held back his tears. But because he showed up anyway. I know one day this place will feel like home too. Until then, he can always cry to me, well.. at least via zoom 🤪 by @bumiber.suara
