my shop makers experience + why i decided to leave consignment 👀

about 6 months ago, i began selling my work through consignment at shop makers, as i was excited to explore a new way of growing my small business. since then, i’ve learned a lot about retail partnerships, product placement, sales expectations, and what it actually feels like to have your art in a physical store. in today's video, i’m sharing my experience with consignment, the lessons i learned along the way, and why i ultimately decided to leave my 2 consignment locations. 😮

this post isn't meant to discourage anyone from trying consignment. every artist, maker, and small business is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. my goal is simply to share my experience honestly in the hope that it helps other artists make informed decisions for their own businesses. 😌

if you're considering consignment for your small business or you’ve tried consignment in the past, i’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences in the comments. 👇🏻 thank you for being here and supporting my journey as i continue to learn, grow, and figure things out along the way! 🥰✨

if you want to hear more about my consignment experience in further detail, i made a whole video about it on my youtube channel! 👉🏻 the link is in my bio!

hoppy pride everyoneeee! 🌈💕✨️

in celebration of pride month, i designed an LGBTQIA+ inspired design that expresses what pride means to me.

❤️ pride is coming as you are
🧡 pride is owning what makes you different
💛 pride is fighting for your rights
💚 pride is loving and accepting yourself
💙 pride is being unapologetically you
💜 pride is community

i'll be giving this sticker as a FREE GIFT with purchase at yeticon this month from june 19-21! 🥰
