Estée Lauder vs MISSHA: The original vs the Korean upgrade?

When @esteelauder Advanced Night Repair first launched, its formula was revolutionary. It introduced Bifida Ferment Lysate, a probiotic-derived ingredient designed to support the skin barrier and help skin recover. Together with Lactobacillus Ferment, it became the foundation of an iconic formula that reigned almost unchallenged for years!

Then came @missha.official Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule 5X.

Clearly inspired by Estée Lauder, but Korean skincare rarely just copies: it takes things further!

While Estée Lauder relies on 2 main probiotic-derived ingredients, MISSHA takes fermentation technology further with a complex of 10 fermented ingredients, including Bifida, Lactobacillus and Lactococcus ferments.

And that’s not all! MISSHA also combines niacinamide for brightening, panthenol for soothing, hyaluronic acid for hydration, ceramides and cholesterol for barrier support, adenosine for anti-wrinkle benefits, plus a rich blend of naturally derived antioxidants from various botanical extracts to help protect skin against oxidative stress.

The result? A more comprehensive formula targeting hydration, skin barrier support, radiance and signs of ageing.

So, is it still worth spending €144 for 50 ml of Estée Lauder when MISSHA offers such an impressive formula for just €18.85 (buy it on @yesstyle with my discount code MARTAFRA444)?

What do you think, has the student become better than the master?

Have you heard about the latest anti-blush trend? 👀

It’s all about using muted, desaturated shades instead of traditional rosy blushes to create a more natural, sculpted, almost skin-like flush.

But here’s the problem: most of the anti-blush shades being recommended right now are way too purple and dark for fair skin. The result? Less sophisticated flush, more accidental bruise! 😅

Luckily, @kikomilano has been hiding this little gem in plain sight for ages: a beautiful muted rosy brown [shade n.8] that isn’t too warm or orange. Desaturated, subtle and incredibly elegant, it’s the perfect anti-blush shade for fair skin.

Sometimes the best trends are the ones we’ve known all along! 🤎

Can we normalize using our makeup products until the very last drop? 💄🍒

I hate wasting products or buying makeup compulsively just to abandon it when something new comes along. And honestly? There’s something so satisfying about seeing a product this well-loved. This is how I give my favorites the appreciation they deserve.

Take my @fentybeauty Gloss Bomb Heat in Hot Cherry 🍒
It’s been around for a while, but I keep repurchasing it because it’s non-sticky, never stringy, long-lasting, lightweight, and has an amazing plumping effect✨

Not every new launch needs to be on our wishlist. Sometimes, our old favorites are all we need.

Let’s normalize finishing our makeup, not just collecting it. 💋

I know I might get some backlash for saying this, but I believe in being honest: I hate looking pale! 🙈

I know how important sun protection is, and I would never compromise on that. But when summer gives me that little golden glow, I’m not going to complain — quite the opposite! My complexion looks healthier, uneven skin tone, redness and dark circles seem less noticeable, and that sun-kissed glow beautifully enhances both the highlights in my hair and my makeup. ✨

So, when summer ends and my tan starts to fade, I get a little dramatic about it and do everything I can to keep that glow for as long as possible! ☀️

After trying so many self-tanners, I’ve finally found one I absolutely LOVE: @lieracparis Sunissime The Self-Tanning Serum. 🤎 And here’s why:

✨ 1. No unpleasant self-tan smell. Just a very subtle floral scent that quickly fades away.

✨ 2. Buildable color. You can gradually build up your tan and customize the intensity.

✨ 3. A natural-looking glow. No weird yellow or orange undertones, just a believable and natural sun-kissed finish.

✨ 4. Skincare benefits, too! Formulated with 98% natural-origin ingredients, with Hyaluronic Acid and an Antioxidant, it helps deeply hydrate and smooth the skin while protecting it from oxidative stress, one of the factors involved in skin aging. A lovely bonus, especially for mature skin!

✨ 5. A dream texture. Creamy and hydrating, yet quickly absorbed. No greasy feeling, no stickness.

✨ 6. No stains on clothes or pillows!

My routine? Just a few drops every 3–4 days to maintain my glow without overdoing it. 🤎

One little but important tip: wash your hands thoroughly after applying!

Because yes, I love summer, I love a golden glow, and I love finding products that help me keep both a little longer. 🥰

Have you tried this self-tanning serum? Or do you have a favorite self-tanner you swear by? Tell me in the comments! 👇

Everyone was raving about the @maybelline Cloudtopia Cheek & Lip Mousse in Toasted Sky ✨ It looked perfect for a golden summer glow, but unpopular opinion: for me, it was a total disaster! ❌

Here is why it didn’t work for me:

🙅🏼‍♀️Soo patchy! It applied completely unevenly, leaving random bare spots.

🙅🏼‍♀️Vanishes! It looks pigmented at first, but blends out to absolutely nothing.

🙅🏼‍♀️Shifts! It moves the second you touch your face and fades in a few hours.

I tried everything—fingers, brushes, beauty puffs, setting powder, and fixing spray. Nothing worked, so I’m officially giving up 🏳️😔

I’m really curious about your experience … maybe it’s just a me problem! Did it actually work for you? 👇

✨ Beyond Skincare: Time to Fall in Love with Korean Makeup! ✨
We all fell in love with Korean skincare, but their makeup is just as revolutionary! 🤫 I know there is still some hesitation or prejudice about K-beauty makeup, but trust me, it is completely worth it.

Here is why it’s a game-changer:

🌿 Skincare-Infused: Packed with active ingredients, perfect for demanding skin types.
💧 Mature & Dry Skin Approved: In my experience, these formulas visually plump the skin and never settle into fine lines. Just a healthy, youthful glow!
💸 Affordable Luxury: Top-tier innovation at a very reasonable price.

Thank you @yesstyle for letting me try the @mixsoon_global Bean Stick Balm!

I’m a huge fan of hydrating and nourishing balm sticks and I’ve tried so many! After 40, I find that some areas of the face need an extra boost of hydration and nourishment — especially my eye contour, where the skin is particularly thin and has very few sebaceous glands, so it can easily look dry and marked.

I love using this stick before concealer because it helps prevent it from settling into fine lines or looking dry, cakey and powdery.

And I always carry it with me! I reapply it several times throughout the day, even over makeup, gently massaging it in. Instantly, my eye contour looks fresh, hydrated and less marked. ✨

The texture is amazing: it glides like butter, isn’t sticky and gives immediate comfort.

🌱 Formulated with soybean oil, Mixsoon’s signature nourishing ingredient, plus 9 probiotics to help support the skin barrier and balance. It also contains sunflower oil, Centella Asiatica and turmeric extract for added nourishment, soothing and antioxidant benefits.

Definitely a new handbag essential for me! 🤎

It’s currently temporarily sold out almost everywhere, but as soon as it’s back in stock, you can use my discount code MARTAFRA444 on YesStyle to get an extra discount! 🤎✨

@107beauty_global Double Layer Milky Serum I loved you till the last drop 💧

I rarely dedicate two posts to the same product, but this serum really deserves it. 🤎

It’s designed for normal to dry skin, but for mature skin? It feels like an absolute blessing.

I love everything about it: the minimal and elegant packaging, its incredibly silky finish, and its delicate, natural scent that reminds me so much of hazelnut gelato🍨🤎

And yet, behind this understated appearance lies one of the most nourishing, hydrating and plumping serums I have ever tried.

It’s a bi-phase serum, so you simply shake it to activate its double layer innovation, combining deep hydration with intense nourishment. Powered by Ginseng Exosomes, fermented actives, Plantago Seed Extract rich in glucuronic acid, and a 9-type Hyaluronic Acid Complex, it helps boost firmness, elasticity and radiance while leaving the skin beautifully soft and bouncy.

It’s not oily, not sticky and doesn’t pill. But the moment you apply it, you can literally feel the difference. Honestly? It feels like my skin is being reborn.

Soft in texture, understated in appearance, but bold in effect!✨

✨ Thank you @yesstyle and @sungbooneditor_official for introducing me to this unbeatable skincare dream team! ✨

A routine specially designed to make your skin glow and keep that gorgeous summer radiance going for longer! ☀️✨

🫧 Step 1: The Cleanser
The texture is amazing and packed with kojic acid capsules, delivering deeper, longer-lasting brightening while visibly reducing discoloration and uneven tone. And you only need a tiny amount!

🍅 Step 2: The Viral Serum
Use it morning and night! Powered by Green Tomato, it targets enlarged pores and helps keep excess sebum under control for smoother, clearer-looking skin.

✨ Step 3: The Gentle Chemical Exfoliator
Once a week is all you need! It gently dissolves dead skin cells, targets sun spots and post-breakout marks, and leaves your skin incredibly smooth and radiant.

👑 Step 4: Intensive Gold Mask
The ultimate treat! A peptide powerhouse—with as many peptides as a whole bottle of serum—plus low-molecular-weight collagen. Leave it on for at least 3–4 hours for a 360° anti-wrinkle treatment and that extra-glowy finish. ✨
