This side came out a lot easier than the driver’s side. Whether it was due to having more experience, being out of the sun, or just plain luck, it doesn’t matter because this side took about a third of the time. Armed with Goo Gone and putty knives, we scraped away the 12-year-old tar-like butyl tape that had been used to hold in the windows. It was haphazardly applied, with no real effort to keep water out, so before we could start building our interior, the windows had to go. Now, with the windows removed, all that’s left is to re-seal them with new butyl tape and caulking, and replace some with window deletes from @skoolie_com

🎥 New camera = more content 🎥

Shout out to Alexis’s mom for getting us this new @gopro camera. With this we’ll be able to better document our progress and make higher quality content (without filling our phones with B-roll footage in the process😅).

This week’s project was removing our bus’s seats and padded dividers! 🚌 💺

Previously, our bus was used to transport children with disabilities, so it only had half the seats installed. This saved us time on this project, but it will likely take longer when it comes time to remove the floor and steel rails.

For the most part, this was a straightforward job once the bolts were initially loosened. However, some bolts proved more difficult because they had nuts located in inconvenient places, such as over the gas tank. The only option was to use an angle grinder to cut them off and then hammer them out. 🔩🔨

Now that they’re all removed, it’s on to the next project! 🔜🪟
