A trip down memory lane...

The Byron Bay optometry practice was established at 6 Lawson Street by Chris Doe, a Ballina local.

Stephen Brady graduates with first class honours.

Stephen and his then girlfriend, Belle discovered the beauty of Byron Bay and begin making weekend trips to the area from their hometown of Toowoomba in Queensland.

Steve and Belle (now BOTH Brady) make Byron Bay their home and Steve takes up his role as full time optometrist at the practice.

Lots of visitors arrive to Steve and Belle's spare bedroom to experience Byron Bay for a weekend or three!

The lighthouse walk soon becomes a favourite pastime.

Stephen and Chris begin chats about Steve buying the practice so that Chris can semi-retire.

Stephen takes on the business officially and re-names it Byron Bay Eyecare. Belle is brought in for support.

Stuart Schipp joins the staff and brings a wealth of optical experience.

Byron Bay Eyecare is renovated and extended to include a second consultation room and spacious showroom.

Rebecca Bertram comes on board as our second wonderful optometrist.

The lovely Tahlia Farrell joins the team and begins training as an optical assistant.

Onwards and upwards for our mighty practice. We love our team and our clients and look forward to continuing our journey as part of the Byron Bay community. by @byronbayeyecare
