A reintroduction post! 👩🏽‍💻👋🏽⬇️

It’s a new year and i’ve gained new followers over the past few months (tysm🫶🏽) and thought i’d share some facts about myself so you guys can get to know the face behind BSS 💖

Hi, my name is Saminah. I am a Social Media Manager & Graphic Designer from London 🇬🇧

📱I started my business in 2021, combining years of experience in social media, content creation and design. I’ve been social savvy since my early teens and have evolved with all the social platforms we use today.

💄 I was a Beauty Content Creator & Makeup Artist for 7 years (featured in glamour uk) and have worked with brands like fenty beauty, bobbi brown, anastasia beverly hills, l’oreal, boots uk, maybelline, ysl, lancome and many more.

👼🏽 I’m a 97 baby so that makes me one of the oldest members of Gen Z.

🌼🌸 Spring is my fave season.

👩🏽‍🎨👩🏽‍🎓 My design background comes from studying Textile Design at university, specialising in print design (graduated in 2019) and my work got selected to be exhibited in paris which was exciting 🇫🇷👏🏽

😼 I loveeeeee cats and genuinely believe anyone that hates them is a RED FLAG 🚩

📖 I loveeeee reading!!!

📺 I’m more of a tv show over movie person but i do enjoy a good movie sometimes (tv series recs in the comments will be v appreciated🥰)

✈️ I love travelling and want to visit as many places as i can. I have a whole list of countries/cities ready to be crossed off 😂

💬 I have a huge interest in learning languages. I have been bilingual (🇧🇩🇬🇧) my whole life and i’m on my way to becoming a polyglot 🇪🇸🇸🇦🇰🇷🇯🇵🇫🇷🇵🇹🇹🇷🇨🇳 (well, im trying to, its my dream to be one) 🤭

Let me know in the comments if you’d like to know anything else or can relate to any of mine. I’d LOVE to know something fun about you ☺️⤵️✨ by @bysaminahstudio

Also, i just want to mention i knowwwww it has been a while since i last posted and i wanted to let you know i am very much STILL HERE and working! A lot has been going on and because of this, I have neglected my own socials 🥲

I’m still working on my website, making changes to the business etc. hoping to be more active from now on 🙏🏽

I set a goal to learn new skills this year and illustrating is one of them. 🍒🎀🥑🥐🩷

This is my first time illustrating. I played around with watercolour brushes and made some cute prints/patterns. I’m still learning and can’t wait to play around with different styles 👩🏽‍🎨

I got the watercolour brush set from @brushwithbree 🖌️ it has been so helpful and fun to use!!!

THE quote you need for your 2026 rebrand ✨🎀

“Small steps every day, lead to big changes”

If you look back on the past year, and feel disappointed that you didn’t achieve your goals, start setting smaller ones if you’re struggling to do the big tasks.

Taking those small steps each day, will still get you further than if you did nothing at all. Start building habits and momentum slowly to make it easier for yourself.

You’ve got this 💪🏽
