heyyyy sexy peopleeee. sorry for this long ass caption but i’m SO excited about this one, and if you love me you will sit and read my little essay. thank you kindly and completely.

i genuinely couldn’t sleep because i was so excited about how this came out. WHAT A NOD TO MY H2O ROOTS. i was rikki growing up and whoever says they were rikki simply didn’t understand her like i did, i fear. at 14, my little sister and i even performed a SPELL to become mermaids. unfortunately, the powers that be- said absolutely not, so i’ve had to settle for becoming one through makeup instead. everything happens for a reason i guess 😔.

the HUGE scales to contour, smaller ones to blend into that paler-than-usual base for the waterlogged, deep-ocean-creature effect, then iridescent and fluorescent pigment scales getting finer and finer until the skin looked almost otherworldly. drenched the highlights in gloss and shimmer because if she wasn’t giving “fresh out of the ocean”, what was the point???
then we decided the nose needed scales too, and somehow her titties ended up with them as well. 😭
i stand by it because it was NECESSARY for the vision. the matching coloured hair pieces, pearls, nails, brows AND THE CUT CREASE. guys, can we actually have a moment for her? 2016 IS SO BACK. i’ve been in such a cut crease mood recently and i’m having the best time revisiting what first made me fall in love with makeup.

now excuse me while i attempt to remove blue and green pigment from every crevice of my body.
was it worth it? a million times over on godddddd

what would i have done without your help, words of affirmation and general wisdom?! so grateful to create with women who encourage you to dream bigger. what a lady!
if anyone knows where to get a refund for a failed mermaid spell, please let me know xx
