Old cars, new cars, weird cars, small cars especially, sometimes my cat. Most photos by me, a car picker outer at the Petersen.

This year’s Japanese Classic Car Show was impressive. Impressively oppressive heat and a plethora of impressive cars and trucks. This S800 has a terrific look. I’d really like to drive one of these.

This is the proper look for an R5 Turbo.

Only two months until The Best of France and Italy in Van Nuys, so just enough time to get your car, or self, ready. Hopefully this spectacular machine seen at last year’s event will return.

Thrilling to see this street parked Jensen-Healey on my way to work this morning. Heroic and brave souls Jensen-Healey drivers are.

I love the R16. A groundbreaking car really. And one of the most comfortable things I’ve ever driven. I should have bought one when I had the chance.

Spotted this magnificent little guy the other day at a shop that services a host of JDM vans. There was a Delica there, too. There usually is at least one parked outside. This is the Sambar Anti-Yoda version. I was never crazy about that line. Nothing wrong with trying.

An Alpine A610 is a pretty exciting thing to see. Especially 20 minutes from your house if you live where I do. Fantastic car.

Fun gathering of French cars and French car people this afternoon in Arcadia. Always good to see folks with the right taste in automobiles.

A pre-Bastille Day, #thedayafterthedayafterfrenchfriday beauty. That light bleu is fabulous.

Nice to see an original Spider out and about. Love the original wheel covers on this one.

A golden Citroën DS in the subterranean parking garage of wonders @jobjoris and I visited back in April.

One of my favorite cars from the Mullin collection is this humble but handsome Simca 8. Unfortunately not coming to the Petersen, but still has found a good home with one of the former Mullin caretakers. Simca built over a hundred thousand of these before and after WWII.
