New arrival: 1958 Jaguar XK150 SE DHC

Maroon over a full Tan leather interior. Classic, warm, and distinctive. It is a color combination that suits the XK150’s long hood, rounded forms, and elegant proportions exceptionally well.

The XK150 appeared in 1957 as the successor to the XK140 and represented the final evolution of Jaguar’s famous XK line before the E-Type took over. The design remained instantly recognizable as a Jaguar, but it was modernized in several important areas. The split windshield of the earlier models was replaced by a curved one-piece unit, the body lines became cleaner, and the interior offered more space and comfort. And this example is an SE as well.

SE stood for Special Equipment, and with the 3.4-liter six-cylinder engine that meant, among other things, additional power. Just enough to make the XK150 a particularly pleasant and brisk classic sports car. Not nervous, not excessive, but smooth and convincing. Exactly the kind of performance that suits the character of a large British open GT.

That also explains why the SE specification occupied such a successful position within the XK150 range. It offered more performance than the standard model, without adopting the more overtly sporting approach of the S versions.

This example was thoroughly addressed during a professionally executed body-off restoration. The Jaguar was carefully rebuilt throughout. The result is an XK150 that presents as neat, well cared for, and thoroughly convincing.

One interesting practical improvement is the Wilwood braking system. The XK150 was already known in period for its modern braking technology, but this upgrade adds extra confidence and comfort behind the wheel today.

New arrival: 1986 Ferrari 328 GTS "8,700 kilometers"

This 1986 Ferrari 328 GTS was ordered new and has covered just 8,700 kilometers. Have you seen the interior? It is fantastically well preserved, and the color combination is one you are unlikely to come across again anytime soon. Rosso Corsa with a fully red leather interior. And by fully red, we really do mean fully red. Even the dashboard is red. Absolutely stunning, if you ask us.

The first owner ordered her Ferrari from Ferrari Becker in Germany. A remarkable purchase, especially in 1986. She did not choose the usual black or beige interior, but instead opted for a bold Rosso leather specification. A choice that perhaps makes the car even more interesting today than it was at the time.

The Ferrari 328 was introduced in 1985 as the successor to the successful 308. Pininfarina retained the familiar lines, but refined the design with integrated bumpers and a more modern treatment of the rear. The characteristic pop-up headlights remained, as did the wide air intakes behind the doors and the low, elegant body. The result was one of the final evolutions of Ferrari’s classic V8 sports cars.

The 328 is also regarded by many enthusiasts as one of the most usable classic Ferraris. Not because it is any less special, but because the engineering had been progressively refined over the years. Ferrari built on its experience with the 308 and developed a sports car that combined performance, reliability, and driving pleasure in an especially appealing way.

Sold: 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing “TÜV/FSP Forensic Authenticity Checks”

Some cars are iconic. Others are legendary. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing is both.

When it arrived in 1954, its revolutionary engineering, mechanical fuel injection and unmistakable gullwing doors made it one of the most extraordinary sports cars of its era. More than seven decades later, it remains one of the most celebrated Mercedes-Benz models ever built.

This particular 1955 example had something especially reassuring to offer: an extensive forensic examination by TÜV/FSP, including X-ray testing and material analysis. The investigation confirmed its matching numbers and authentic materials, providing an exceptional level of certainty for its next custodian.

Its history is equally fascinating. For many years, it was the personal car of a knowledgeable Mercedes-Benz expert in Brisbane, Australia, who regarded it as a true sleeping beauty. Before that, it formed part of a California collection belonging to an enthusiast who owned several 300 SLs. Combined with its long-term ownership history, it is a Gullwing with a story to match its legendary status.

Finished in understated dark grey over a light grey interior, this beautifully presented example has now found its next home.

We would like to congratulate the new owner on acquiring this very special Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing and wish them many unforgettable kilometres behind the wheel.
