You knew it was going to hurt. You knew it would be one of the hardest losses of your life. You knew that. But then it happened. And suddenly, it felt like a piece of your soul left with hers. A wrenching ache rose from somewhere deep inside you. Something you had never felt, never known a human heart could feel. And then you realized… I can never love like this again. Ever. Not because I don’t want to. Not because I won’t love again. But because it was her soul that I loved. And there will never be another soul that is hers. You can love another deeply. You can love another completely. But you will never love another in the exact way you loved her. Because love is not something we give that can simply be given again. It is something we build with one particular soul, out of a thousand little moments that can never be repeated. So what is left to do but remember? To keep her close in the quiet places. To find her in the warmth of the sun, in the sound of a familiar purr you swear you almost heard, in the empty space beside you. You search for her in the small things. And when you find her there, You let yourself love her all over again. Sophie. My girl. My baby girl. The love of my life. I7 years of loving you. I hope you know how much you saved me. How much you kept my heart going when I wanted it to stop. My soul kitty. I love you forever. And I’ll see you again. Ps- I told God to give you really good booty pats 👋🏼 by @c_ray5678
