Behind the scenes of photographing Blue Field involved a whole lot of heavy lifting. by @c_s_allan
The inspiration, inner reflections, and creative process behind ‘Blue Fields.’ Featuring a postcard I discovered tucked inside a book: a gift from a dear friend in 2020, a reminder that I was moving in the right direction. by @c_s_allan
Sitting alongside ‘Blue Fields,’ a piece that holds a special place in my practice. Created in collaboration with @chattertonstudio, this work draws inspiration from Monet and the romance of the European Impressionists, with a focus on colour, texture, and atmosphere. Through layers of paint, I aim to create a sense of stillness, like stepping into the calm of a blue body of water or an open field. Thankyou @_alexchatterton for the photos 🤍 by @c_s_allan

Design and art meet with our Pyramid Table and Cherie’s oil painting on canvas - ‘Blue Field’. We dreamed about how the golden hues of natural timber would complement the vibrant blues and strokes of oil paint, and visa versa. @chattertonstudio @c_s_allan #art #design #sculpture #furniture by @c_s_allan
