i may not go all out with family costumes and decorations but ill always make sure they get to dress up as what they want, be there with them trick or treating, making spaghetti and meatballs (brains, eyes and blood), and watching halloween movies!!!

what’s your fav halloween tradition with your family???

creamy sundried tomato pasta 🍅

okay - i’ve posted other variations of this before but this is literally my fav, i’ve spent months perfecting it to my liking - save it now and thank me later 😉

ingredients:
pasta - cooked al dente according to packaging - i used rigatoni - it’s mine and my kids fav right now!
oil from sundried tomato’s
1 shallot, chopped
2-4 garlic cloves, chopped
sundried tomatoes - sliced (not measured, like half a jar approx)
2 tbsp tomato pasta
splash of wine (can use stock too!!)
1.5 cups table cream
1/2 cup grated parm + some for garnish
handful of basil

1. heat up your oil in a pan on medium heat
2. add your shallot, garlic and sundried tomatoes and cook until fragrant
3. add your tomato paste, cook for another minute
4. add a splash of wine or stock to deglaze your pan and cook for another min
5. slowly whisk in your cream - once all added let simmer for a minute or two
6. add your pasta, add your basil and mix everything together!

you can totally add a protein and more veggies to this meal too to make it more balanced!

enjoy!! 🫶🏼

fig + prosciutto + balsamic is truly the fall combo of all fall combos. sweet, salty, crispy, peppery — this homemade pizza has no business being this good for something that took 15 minutes - save now and thank me later! 😊

ingredients:
pizza crust
2 shallots, sliced
6 dried figs, sliced
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar (+ extra for drizzling)
1 tbsp olive oil + pinch of salt
gruyere, torn into chunks
handful of shredded mozzarella
2-3 slices prosciutto
big handful of arugula

1. cook the shallots in olive oil until soft, ~5 min. add the figs, balsamic, salt + a splash of water. simmer until jammy, ~8 min. this is your spread and it smells unreal.
2. heat oven to 425°F. spread that fig-shallot jam all over the naan.
3. top with gruyere chunks, shredded mozz, and prosciutto.
4. bake 8-10 min until melty and golden.
5. pile on the arugula, drizzle with balsamic glaze, slice it up.

i kid you not, my toddlers gobble these up faster than i can make them. a fool proof breakfast option that’s better than store bought!

#toddlerapprovedrecipe #pumpkinmuffins #homemade #baking #bananamuffins by @cabernetandcarbs

like i’ll forget about it for months and then one random morning it hits me all over again lol. but THIS version?? pickled onions + feta + lime is elite and i will not be forgetting about it again.

ingredients:
• thick-cut toast - i always use my fav sourdough from COBS
• 1 ripe avocado
• pickled red onions
• crumbled feta
• squeeze of lime + flaky salt

1. toast your bread nice and crispy.
2. smash that avocado on thick — don’t be shy.
3. pile on the pickled onions, feta, lime juice, flaky salt.

that’s literally it. 5 minutes, zero cooking, tastes like a café brunch 🫶🏼

save this for your next lazy breakfast!!
ok be honest — are you still in your avocado toast era or did you move on?? 👇

did you know you could just... make the whole dinner IN the spaghetti squash?? 🍝
this is my lazy-girl spaghetti boat and it’s so easy it feels like cheating lol

ingredients:
1 spaghetti squash, halved + seeded
olive oil, salt, pepper + smoked paprika
approx. 2 cups meat sauce — homemade or jarred, no judgment here
a very generous handful of shredded mozzarella

1. heat oven to 400°F. drizzle the squash halves with olive oil, season well, roast for approx. 35-40 min until tender.
2. scrape the flesh into strands with a fork — honestly the most satisfying part.
3. pile in the meat sauce and top with all that mozzarella.
4. back in the oven ~10 min until melty and bubbly.
that’s it. dinner served in its own bowl and barely any dishes 🫶🏼
save this for your next easy weeknight dinner!!
are you team spaghetti squash or is real pasta non-negotiable in your house?? 👇
