I quit my dream OT job to build my dream business. OT has always held a special place in my heart. School based work is challenging, but the company I worked for made every day feel purposeful. They advocated for their employees and our students. They invested in me and I was invested in them. They worked with my schedule so I could pick up and drop off my kids. They made sure we had the materials, support, and encouragement we needed. And the team was truly the best therapists, the best coworkers, and some of the best people I have ever known. So leaving was not easy. It felt like stepping away from something good without any guarantee of what would come next. But even in the middle of all that good, something in me felt unfinished. I kept feeling pulled toward creativity and community. Toward building something from scratch. Toward a dream that was growing louder every single day. Entrepreneurship has been one of the hardest things I have ever done. Right now everything we do is unpaid. Every dollar is saved and reinvested because we want to build this the right way. Our days are unpredictable. Random meetings, workshops, and hours of work from a computer. There is no clean schedule and no automatic paycheck. But even with the hard parts, this venture has given me the freedoms I always craved. I can schedule my life around my children instead of the other way around. I can go to the gym regularly for the first time in years. I get to create, imagine, design, and problem solve in ways I never have before. I feel awake in a new way, using parts of my brain and heart I did not know existed. This is my dream. Not a polished dream, but a working one. A growing one. A dream that asks a lot but gives even more. And every step has been worth it. When you book a class with us, know that you are investing in something bigger than a fun art hour. You are investing in a future building that will hold a community of artists and families. You are investing in child led, sensory rich, creative autonomy for kids. You are investing in our families as we pour everything we have into this vision. You are bringing this dream to life too. And we can’t thank you enough. 💛 by @cabriella
Koi, our baby puppy, our mama dog, our sweetie girl, and now our angel baby. 17 years was a lot to ask, but you more than delivered. We will forever look for you under a shady tree on a sunny day or in a warm spot where the sunlight peeks in through a window. You brought such a gentle, peaceful presence to our home, and I am going to miss that so much. My favorite thing that you taught us is that attention is great, but sneaking away from a crowd to the quietest, coziest nook in a house is much better. And I know that is what you needed after such a long and wonderful life. A peaceful and cozy place to rest forevermore. We love you so much, Koi Girl.💕 by @cabriella
Lou Dog, Louie, Lou Ann, Louise, Lucy, Lou Lou, Angel. In November, we found out you had cancer and had only days to weeks left. You graciously gifted us with 28 more weeks. Thank you for giving us so much time. Koi moving on was so hard for all of us, especially you. You looked for her for so long, and you missed her so much. Our house was forever changed, and you felt it. I think that her moving on gave you permission and comfort in growing old. I have so much peace knowing you are reunited with her now. Sisters forever. Thank you for being the most loyal, loving, protective, gentle, and playful pup girl. Thank you for giving us over 15 years of joy. Thank you for taking care of us and making our home feel safe. Thank you for the best snuggles, nose nudges, and kisses. Grief this deep is an honor to carry. An expression that life is real, you were real, you were loved, and you loved us. Our home will, again, be forever changed, and what a bittersweet reminder that you were ours. We love you, Louie. We miss you so much. Give Koi our love. I hope we see you on the other side one day. Thank you for everything, baby girl. by @cabriella
If you follow me, you probably already know where I align politically. And I’m sure some people have felt some type of way about what I share or how I vote. But this issue is way bigger than party affiliations. We’re talking about whether our children get to grow up. I have lost a lot of sleep and shed so many tears over the unnecessary deaths of children - worldwide and close to home. And I am so so tired of grieving children who should still be here. I just want a normal, quiet life. I want to open this app, watch funny videos, and look at pictures of your pets. I don’t want to keep crying because children are dying. I don’t want to argue about politics or question whether the people in charge care about what happens to us. But here I am, understanding that so much of what I care about - motherhood, schools, healthcare - is shaped by political decisions. Wanting a quiet life doesn’t keep those decisions from affecting my family or yours. I want to know what the people currently in office and the people asking to be elected are going to do to help our children live long enough to vote someday too. They work for us. We deserve an answer. I’m one person and I don’t always feel like I can change much. But I keep thinking that if enough of us start asking questions, expecting answers, and demanding action… maybe we can. Please research the candidates and their records. Notice who makes time for town halls, listens to constituents, and answers difficult questions. Notice who shows kindness, empathy, and compassion, and whether their actions reflect those qualities. And please vote. I know how easy it is to feel small in all of this. I feel it, too. But our voices matter, and I don’t want us to give up on what we can do together. by @cabriella

Watching a friend bring a dream to life is something really special. Jenny has poured so much thought, care, and heart into @thegardenplantco , and it shows in every beautiful little corner. I’m incredibly proud and inspired by her and so excited for Knoxville to have this beautiful new store. Go visit, build your own soil mix, peek at the rare plants, and support a truly wonderful local business. 💛💛💛 by @cabriella
Who’s behind Art Haus? Well… this is half of us. 🤗 I’m Cabby. Mom, wife, friend, COTA/L, beer slinger, thrift lover, hobby collector, and the one usually behind the camera, behind the captions, or driving Vannie Gogh to our pop-ups! Art Haus has become so much more than children’s art classes. It’s become friendships, community, messy fun, big feelings, joy filled masterpieces, and is full of some of my favorite people. And if we’ve never met, I hope we do soon 💛 Come for the art. Stay for the people. (Because in my unbiased 😉 opinion, these classes are filled with the best kinds of humans) Thanks for being here and cheering on this very real, very human, very small business. Stay tuned for Morgan’s reintroduction 💛💛💛 by @cabriella
I have been bullying my friends to plant blackberries and now I’m taking it to instagram 😉 If you want slow summer mornings like this, consider this your sign to plant thornless blackberries next spring! They take a couple years to get this dense, but once they do, you’ll be in blackberry heaven. Just be sure to give them something to climb like a fence, cow panel, or trellis. And fair warning… these things grow. A lot. You’ll need to cut them back each year to keep them under control. And be sure to plant them somewhere you want them to stay because it’s kinda impossible to get rid of them. 😅 But honestly WORTH IT. They are one of the highlights of summer for us! 💛 by @cabriella

Nobody: Me: bartending and editing a completely normal day at @printshopbeer like it’s the trailer for a low budget thriller by @cabriella
Heavy emphasis on free thinking, digital and media literacy, joy and laughter, reading and listening to books, kids tagging along to breweries, stopping and smelling the flowers, validating emotions, empathy and boundaries, going to therapy, napping, going to the park, asking my children for feedback about my parenting, one on one time with my husband, a crisp coke zero, home grown fruit and veggies, going on field trips, patio margs, puppy snuggles, feeding stray cats, tipping, and kindness. by @cabriella
I’ll never stop missing my first two girls. 💛 by @cabriella
