Mark and I got married on June 13, 2026! 🤍 It was inconceivably special for us to spend the whole day with our loved ones. We agreed that it was mind-blowing to have all the people we care about in one place at one time, and a bonus that they all love you extra that day 😉.

So many sweet, funny, emotional, fun, and chaotic moments would not have been possible without SO much help from our family and friends. We are so deeply thankful for many fantastic people and local businesses that shared in the immense work that goes into having a wedding.

Our friends and family, you know who you are - you are so special, and we are so grateful. 🤍

Huge thank yous to:
@evermoreottawa, for their lovely wedding venue that took care of all of our people,
@magnaarnottphotography, for 11/10 company day-of and capturing the day in exquisite detail,
@limestoneandlace, for the beautiful dress and veil I loved spending the day in,
@jenn.c123, for an updo and catch-up so lovely it was worth growing out my bob for,
@frontenacjewellerskingston, for your patience and care designing my custom ring and Mark’s wedding band,
@makeup.by.yelena, for flawless, personalized looks that lasted all day,
@dina_s_sewing, for fantastic alterations to my dress and veil (plus amazing backyard birds),
@chloelawrence1, for our delicious (visually and literally) wedding cake,
@suetorbet, for our sentimental scrapbook guestbook,
Midnight Music, for keeping the dance party going all night long,
and Jude, for your thoughtful special touches officiating our ceremony.

We will never forget this day! 🤍 by @caitlin_fischer

Photos from a sunrise Buckshot Lake perimeter SUP on my last Ontario cottage weekend. Brought the big guns (📷) and was rewarded by sunrise mist and fantastic creatures. I did also drop my phone in the lake, and it lived :) by @caitlin_fischer

This was SUCH a beautiful summer weekend celebrating Jenna and Mike at Arowhon Pines with all of their friends and family. Algonquin stunned; Jenna even more so 🤍😁 by @caitlin_fischer

Fall 2025 marks the end of an era for me!

I defended my Ph.D. in Geological Engineering at Queen’s University on November 11, 2025. The last five years would not have been possible, nor worth it, without my partner Mark, wonderful friends, and supportive family.

Guidance from Dr. Mark Diederichs and Dr. Bradley Forbes, support from the Queen’s Geomechanics and Geohazards Research Group, and funding from NSERC, OGS, NWMO, and Queen’s were integral to my research.

Here are some photos from some pretty glorious Ontario fall days that passed while finishing the degree ☀️🍁 by @caitlin_fischer
