The best way to start off a ten day vacation… a 90 minute head spa appointment with @calmyourcrown at @citrine.extensionslounge 👏🏼☺️💆🏻‍♀️

An hour and a half of relaxation plus multiple treatments to get my scalp squeaky clean before I spend the next week and a half in the sun sweating under a hat and piling on the SPF! Finished it off with a blowout so I’ll hit the airport tomorrow morning feeling great!

Absolutely love @citrine.extensionslounge and all of the amazing women there! If you’re ready to treat yourself to an incredible experience, go see Alexis! ❤️ by @calmyourcrown

Those little white flakes don’t automatically mean your scalp needs more moisture.

Buildup can come from things like:
• Dry shampoo
• Styling products
• Oils and heavy treatments
• Excess sebum (oil)
• Inadequate cleansing
• Product residue accumulating over time

And here’s the tricky part... buildup and dryness can look similar.

That’s why adding more oils or moisturizing products isn’t always the answer.

If the issue is buildup, adding more product can sometimes make the problem worse!

Instead of asking, “What should I put on my scalp?”
Try asking, “What is my scalp actually showing me?”

That’s where a scalp analysis comes in with your head spa appointment 🔎

Because healthy scalp care isn’t about throwing products at a problem. It’s about understanding the problem first! by @calmyourcrown

Most people shed around 20-100 hairs per day as part of the natural hair growth cycle.

But here’s the important part:

There isn’t a magic number that applies perfectly to everyone.

Your normal amount of shedding can vary based on your hair density, length, washing routine, and where your hairs are in their growth cycle.

What I pay more attention to is a change from your normal.

If you suddenly notice:
• Much more hair coming out in the shower
• More hair collecting on your brush or pillow
• Your ponytail feeling thinner
• A widening part
• More scalp becoming visible
• Changes in your overall density

Those are clues worth paying attention to. So don’t panic over every strand you find.

Your hair is constantly cycling but a noticeable change in your normal shedding pattern is something we shouldn’t ignore. by @calmyourcrown

Interested in learning more about your scalp’s health and hair growth? I’ve got you. by @calmyourcrown

Yes, you can come to our head spa, close your eyes, relax, and completely melt into the experience, but what if you also understood what your scalp was actually benefiting from?

A head spa can be an opportunity to:
• Thoroughly cleanse the scalp
• Remove buildup and excess sebum
• Support a healthy scalp environment
• Soothe and hydrate the scalp
• Encourage relaxation and stress relief
• Give us a chance to observe what’s happening at the scalp level

Your scalp isn’t just the skin underneath your hair. It’s the environment your hair grows from.

And that’s where the trichology side of our head spa comes in!

I’m not here to simply make your scalp feel good for an hour.

I want you to leave understanding your scalp a little better than you did when you walked in! by @calmyourcrown

You might look at your scalp in the mirror and think everything looks perfectly normal…

But your scalp can tell a completely different story up close 🔎

I can help you figure out a solution for your concerns or show you something you didn’t even know was there! by @calmyourcrown

My scope can tell us a LOT more than your bathroom mirror can.

During a scalp analysis, I’m not just looking at whether your hair “looks healthy.” I’m looking at the environment your hair is growing from.

I’m looking at things like sebum and buildup, the condition of the scalp skin, follicular openings, and signs of dryness, irritation, inflammation, or other changes.

And that’s exactly why I love incorporating trichology into the head spa experience.

Because relaxation is only part of the experience.

Understanding your scalp is the other.

When we know what’s happening beneath the hair, we can make more informed decisions about how we care for it.
