Chinese pole Mat Chinois by @calumlum

Grateful for this life, and this body, for these 8 years with circus.

I read about a concept in Feral by G. Monibot called shifting baseline theory, which more or less means the standards by which we judge something as normal or good shift over time, changing our baseline for what we think is the expected standard l.

So im trying to check myself before the inner critic and his big ol expectations of linear progress forever spoil the juicy flavours of just training. Remembering to do it for the love of it first, and everything else second.

Who knew cartwheels in the park would become such an introspective practice? Not me.
