We are ALMOST there, everyone. THIS IS IT. Will the Pixar and Go Fund Me campaign meet 100%? Or maybe I should phrase this a different way. WIN? OR LOSE? (Yes, that was an endorsement thing). If you haven't, donate right now and make all of the laid off Pixar employees the happiest people in America! (Also, a happy Lunar New Year to EVERYONE. Especially you, @domeeshi. Can't wait to see more of your filmmaking magic this summer.) https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-former-pixar-talent-postlayoffs/cl/s?attribution_id=sl:8722ac60-0e4f-4ae1-991d-64504b18c961&lang=en_US&utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=copy_link by @cameronharris1440
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT! For the next following posts, I will be revealing who my biggest Pixar heroes from the creative and story teams are! Also, update on my student film. I will be hiring my friends @coreyskidshowofficial and Gabriel "M8889" Cowan as the executive producers, @catherine_corrado3 as the composer, @elijahbarton2001 as the sound designer, @cecilandbefriends as the graphics and title designer, and @therealvideotoygamer as the lead animator. I'm still currently hiring for producer, so if anyone is interested in that position, feel free to let me know! by @cameronharris1440
On the second page is a facial main character sketch for my upcoming student film, Mud. Q: What is the main character's name? A: The main character's name is Princess Jaylen. Q: Is this your first time directing an animated student film? A: Come on, I didn't direct anything else. (OK, originally a scrapped post high school play) Q: Why didn't you use tailoring for the black hair? A: Because stories and art are the only things that I can master. Q: Where can I stream Mud? A: You can stream Mud on YouTube when it finally comes out! by @cameronharris1440
THIS. IS. IT. THE ACADEMY AWARD NOMINATION. Our chance to see if Turning Red will win and turn Pinnochio's win into one big lie. But before we do that, I wanna try one more overview of the 100% AWESOME movie of 2022. Characters: Look at previous post. Crew member roles that I did expect (all of which are contrary to Bao): 1. Rona Liu as the Production Designer 2. Patty Kihm as an Animation Supervisor 3. Christian Hoffman as the Characters Supervisor 4. Jane Snow Cassidy as the Crowds & Fix Animation Supervisor 5. Dave Hale as the Effects Supervisor 6. Jason Deamer as the Characters Art Director 7. Lucy Laliberte as the Story and Crowds Manager Crew member roles that I absolutely didn't expect: 1. Nicholas C. Smith as the Editor (I expected Katherine Ringgold, but considering a previous post from Domee Shi, it seemed unlikely.) 2. Mahyar Abousaeedi as the Camera & Staging DP (He's a great person when it comes to being one, but I expected Patrick Lin. However, my prediction was wrong when it was announced that he was the layout DP for Win Or Lose) 3. Jonathan Pytko as the Lighting DP (I expected Ian Megibben, but he already had that part in Soul, and would later be the Lighting DP for Lightyear. I also expected Danielle Feinberg, considering her VFX Supervisor role, but for some reason, she only decided to stick with the VFX thing. But it still suits her, because debatably she would have been the Lighting Technical Supervisor for Finding Nemo had the Ocean Unit team not have been formed.) 4. Laura Meyer as the Graphics Art Director (I did expect her to be only an end titles designer, but she does work in graphics, so it makes sense.) In conclusion: Coming soon! Huge Acknowledgements to: @domeeshi @flimzycollins @rosiesullivan83 @billpresingart @nix_myth @threechicketeers @dafeinberg @aaron.hartline @patty_kihm @mahyar161 @pinkotd @jason.deamer.doodles @cf.leon @lmeyer22 @rosaliecchiang @avalorrenmorse @maitreyiramakrishnan @heyndoodles @tristanallerickchen @carcar_824 @gio22demartinis @laranimates8695 @tjpixar and all staff at PIXAR!!! From my PIXAR heart to yours, 4*Town forever!!! by @cameronharris1440
Last night was a date to remember. A night full of Chinese food, red pandas, my beautiful girlfriend Carly, and of course, the newest boy band in Toronto. So, as PIXAR’s #1 fan, I shall share my review. (Warning: if you haven’t seen Turning Red, DON’T read this post) My rating: 10 stars out of 10 (Encanto has met its match, but this is just the beginning) Favorite character: Priya (she’s like the most chill out of all Mei’s friends) Other Favorite character: Abby (I mean enough said. Energetic, Wild, and voiced by Hyein Park herself? NO WONDER SHE IS AWESOME!!!) Least favorite character: Ming (she’s too much of an overprotective mother. However, her actress participated in the Anti-Asian Hate movement, which is a good quality) Third Least Favorite Character: Tyler (a stupid evil jerk in the beginning, his character made me wish the movie had a female bully instead, and him just being a normal friend, however, I was very lucky to see that Tyler changed his ways at the end, and is now Mei’s fourth bestie.) The Music: Very Good (4*Town was awesome and the song "Nobody Like U" was perfect. However, there was a downside. While Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell were songwriters for the film, I was dismayed when Finneas was the only one who was singing. If the two siblings had sang together in a collaborative new song like their previous Grammy winner, I would have felt better. The Story: Crazy, but in a good way. (The movie is supposed to be about going through both a woman’s period and strong high emotions, and PIXAR did this perfectly, and while I did not approve of other kinds of anime, this movie is a total exception. The Director: Five words. FIRST. SOLO. FEMALE. DIRECTOR. EVER. (The fact that it happened is 100% awesome. Domee Shi might not have won over my mom and one of my grandparents with her Oscar winning short film Bao, but that woman can direct. Very talented, and inspired by her own middle school childhood and relationship with her mother, this movie was a very good representation for her and other Chinese-Canadian people, both at PIXAR and on earth.)
