A grainy picture and video from graduation cannot undercut the profound impact Dr. Paula M. Rooney has had on my life. I had the privilege of getting to meet with her on numerous occasions to talk not just about how to make the student experience better for Dean College students but to gain her perspective on what it means to be a leader. I don’t know how many people grasp how RARE it is to have a college President who meets with students on the regular but she somehow made time for us. There were many incredible women who taught me about leadership at Dean but none more by example than her. She was not afraid to make the hard decisions that while controversial on the surface, were ALWAYS (and I fully mean that) in the best interest of the students FIRST. I learned from her how important it is to have principles like this and not just say that those are your principles, but LIVE them by example.
When I received the Trustees’ Prize for The School of the Arts and my diploma, she told me on both of those stages how much of an impact I made on the institution in my various roles on campus. Not only that, but she wrote me a personalized letter expressing the same gratitude. From the woman who quite literally saved the college from shutting down to say those kind words to me in such an individualized, specific way, still inspires me to continue that impact as a proud alumnus but in the real world.

Rest in peace Dr. Rooney, you always asked us what was the “Dean Difference” in our Dean experience. YOU are the Dean Difference. 🐾 #classof2021 by @cameronpatrickward

Happy 252nd Anniversary to one of the most seminal events in world history, The Boston Tea Party. I continue to be inspired to come to the museum every day and work alongside the most dedicated historians in the business, you have changed my life and so many others with the amazing work that each and every one of you put into the study of such an iconic event. Here’s to many more memories sharing this incredible story with guests from around the world (now with an updated list of participants announced today!!!) ☕️🌎

This one has been a long time coming. Ever since I took this first picture of the train station the day I started my job at BTPSM back in early 2022, I knew that I wanted to live in the city of a regional theatre market that provided access to legitimate professional acting opportunities. As I tossed and turned about which regional market was the right one to jump into during this early part of my career, I eventually decided to let fate make that decision for me and see where it leads. Well this past year, fate has decided to lead me to the answer that has been right in front of me all along.
I could not be more THRILLED to share that I am moving to Cambridge this fall, within striking distance of the regional theatre market that has defined this early part of my career thus far, Boston. It has been an honor working in this market for the past few years, now I am excited to enjoy living in this beautiful part of the region as well. New York City, you’re officially up next :) by @cameronpatrickward

So excited to be originating the role of Joshua in this engaging, thought-provoking new play written by the equally brilliant @nickbakerforreal. Thank you to @studiotheatreworcester for supporting the work of up-and-coming theatre artists, come give your own support on Saturday March 8th at Worcester Academy! “What good is an imagination when there are real problems to worry about?” Come find out next weekend at Wachusett Regional High School for the fall production of Peter Pan & Wendy, written by Tracy Wells from the adapted J.M. Barrie novel and directed by... me! It has been an absolute privilege getting to work with this talented and downright hilarious group of students as well as a supportive production team, I can’t wait to see them shine. Shows are Friday November 15th and Saturday November 16th at 7pm as well as Sunday November 17th at 2pm. Tickets can be bought from the Wachusett front office (during school hours), HodgePodge in Holden (140 Reservoir Street), or at the door. I hope to see you there! Poster design by Terri Barone, Produced by special arrangement with Big Dog/Norman Maine Publishing LLC, Rapid City, SD. 🎭 by @cameronpatrickward

I am excited to announce that my next project will be back in the beautiful harbor town of Newburyport (as well as other tour dates 👀) portraying the roles of Don Vincentio/Pedro in Theater In The Open’s summer production of “A Bold Stroke for a Husband” by Hannah Cowley (generously supported by the Mass Cultural Council/Mass Department of Conservation & Recreation). It is so rewarding to see a female playwright from 1783 being recognized for her funny yet surprisingly modern take on so many Shakespearean tropes, but with a uniquely female perspective that is not recognized as often as it should be from this time period. It has been great fun working with this fine cast and crew thus far and I cannot wait to present this far too forgotten story to the world once again! Tickets and other show information can be found at the link in my bio. Hope to see you there in late July or August! 🎭 by @cameronpatrickward
