Life with God is not immunity from difficulties, but peace in difficulties
POSTS STORIES REELS
Buen Camino. by @cameronyull
I asked myself many times why I was doing this race. I thought I had to prove something to myself, or to other people, but I realized over the months leading up to it that this was something that God called me to do, and to glorify Him doing it. Over the last many months, there were many things that I tried to become better at. I struggled with humility and patience. And as I continued to strive towards this race, I became so much more focused and aware of the bigger picture that this is for God and not for me or anyone else. I know for sure that this wouldn’t have been possible without the support of my family my friends and my buddy Ben, who killed the race too. He’s incredibly strong and a huge inspiration to me. And one of the many reasons that woke me up in the morning for training. The many 4:30am wake ups that I didn’t want to do, Ben continued to push me to get up anyway. I was truly humbled to do this and be around so many amazing people. “When you say you’re gonna do something and you actually follow through and you do it, not when you cross the finish line at the end of the race, with hands raised. I’m talking about right now. The small steps in between the big success… No one sees this.” I will never allow myself to be as good as I was yesterday. It’s just the beginning. by @cameronyull
