It’s #kidlitartpostcard day! 🌟 My name is Camille Reck, I’m a queer Puerto Rican illustrator looking for picture book/graphic novel/ book cover projects for young readers, as well as representation. I love drawing magical characters, cute animals and nature 🌱 I love working in both digital and traditional mediums with rich colors and textures inspired by my Caribbean home 🌈 Let’s work together! ✨

🌟 Meet the artist! 🌈🌟 I started this drawing when this was a “trend” but I lost interest in it for a while 😅 I used to do an annual meet the artist post around my birthday and I haven’t made one in years, so you’re getting it now! 😄 For my new followers, nice to meet you! Here’s a bit about me:

🌟My name is Camille, I’m a queer and nonbinary professional illustrator from Puerto Rico. I just turned 31 🎉 and I’m a virgo sun, aries moon!

✏️ I’ve been drawing my whole life and I started selling my art in college, but it wasn’t until 2020 that I started to sell my art full time and also became a freelance illustrator! It has been hard ngl but I love doing it! I want to illustrate more books and graphic novels!

🇵🇷🇩🇪 I am from Puerto Rico, and I have German family too on my dad’s side! I grew up with traditions from both cultures, and as a kid often visited my German family for the holidays. I know a bit of German and dream of living there for a time someday to learn the language properly.

🐱 I have 3 cats: Haku, Gyro and Narancia! I grew up with cats my whole life and they are one of my favorite subjects to draw!

✂️🍪📚🌱 My hobbies include learning new crafts, baking, reading, playing cozy videogames, bulding puzzles, and I also love exploring nature! I have an ever-growing collection of art books and graphic novels, and I also collect stickers, enamel pins and other cute trinkets!

🪐💫 Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved learning about space. I had glow-in-the-dark stars on my bedroom ceiling as a kid and they always felt like magic to me, that’s why I often draw stars! To me they represent the childlike wonder I want to include in my work!

☀️ I am neurodivergent (still figuring out what I am exactly) but I’m pretty sure.

✏️ I started creating and sharing my art on this page because I wanted to connect with people through our shared interests, and I hope to bring a bit of magic and happiness into the world! I think we need more of it nowadays ❤️

Thanks for reading! 🌟

Something a little spooky today ✨ A zine about what is left in long abandoned places 👻

Trick or treat!! 👻 Pepper here wishing you a Happy Halloween!!🎃🌟✨ Here’s the full illustration I made for my limited edition Halloween card for @pr.oc.tradingcards ✨ #halloweenart #halloweenillustration #cutehalloween by @camillereck

Hicimos un zine colaborativo sobre nuestras mascotas! Consíguelo mañana en cualquiera de nuestras mesas en la 9na Feria de Cómics en la UPR 🐾 @manuelmartineznazario by @camillereck

Trying to get into the habit of filming myself working again! 🌟 I don’t mind filming so much as editing, but maybe with practice I’ll hate it less! 😅 #peachtober26oak #peachtober2026 #octoberartchallenge by @camillereck

Late #peachtober26chimney since I was working on event stuff! I had fun working on these lil guys!
I decided I’m gonna skip some of the next prompts and only do the ones I really want to do to catch up! 🌟

🎃✨ by @camillereck
