"Lately I've been drawn to deeper textures — slower, more ambient soundscapes that carry a kind of dark euphoria, two elements that don't usually mesh, but telling that story was part of the enjoyment of this set. There are some intense moments — it opens into slower, hypnotic techno, building a low end and dubby atmosphere, before shifting into minimal techno. Things get more experimental with metallic percussion, a heady driving groove, and touches of UK garage bass and dub techno warmth. Toward the end, it eases into deeper, arabesque melodies that act as breathers, before dissolving into dubby ambience — soft, spacious, and unhurried. Holding a mood for three hours in a restaurant setting was a challenge, but one I thoroughly enjoyed." - Anahita (@d.an__.a) Check out her Live from @capers.thornbury mix on Crumpler Radio, link in bio. by @capers.thornbury
