Happy Birthday, Momma! ❤️❤️❤️ My heart is overwhelmed, but I know you are enjoying Jesus just like this. I miss you beyond words. 🕊️ by @captainoftheghetto
And because God is the greatest power, we shall NEVER be defeated!! I did a thing today! Let me tell y’all, buying a house is NOT for the weak!! Everything you can think that could happen literally happened. Yes, that. Probably 30 to 40 rejected offers. And my God ,who favors me so much, gave me 3 offers in 1 day!! Abundance!! I’m so grateful to have the best parents in the world who literally guided me every single step throughout this process. Painstaking conversations, that I do not wish on anyone. But I am forever grateful for their love, support, wisdom, faith, and patience!! To my SISTER, my shield, the person I can go to relinquish all of my frustrations and there were MANY and will be many more I’m sure. I’m beyond grateful to do life with you! This would have never happened without your esteem prudence. To all of my confidants, thank you for your love and your genuine support! It’s only up from here! I can’t wait to have all of you over, lol. 😂 I’m yet thankful to God for giving me what I wanted when He wanted to! #Godsfavorite #AWealthyPlace by @captainoftheghetto
Grateful for the opportunity to serve! Thank you, Mrs. Alsobrooks and your team, for the appointment to the nuisance and abatement board. It is a double honor to be sworn in on my grandmother‘s Bible!! Shoutout to my day ones for always being there and their constant push. Let’s go to work!! by @captainoftheghetto

Wow! Sunday was a day!! I can’t think my village enough for showing up for me. It meant the absolute world. I miss my Momma more than anything. She literally had her entire outfit planned for today, but God, . I appreciate my family and friends and Church family for helping me get through!!There is work to be done in the kingdom! And I’m ready for my next! #GratefulForTheCall by @captainoftheghetto
As I enter a new school year, I can’t help but think of my momma, who would be here with me setting up my class like she did year after year. She would literally design my classroom from the door to the walls to the hallways, laminating and cutting things to perfection lol. Fun fact, I failed cutting in kindergarten… Apparently that was a thing and Momma never let me forget about it lol. I’m grateful to still have her decor in my classroom, as I cherish it deeply. I’m so grateful for my colleagues who held me up this past week as I went back to work and throughout this past year. My momma was so pure-hearted. She made connections with these strangers in such a short time, and they absolutely miss her. I know she is here with me in spirit. I firmly believe the prayers that she prayed throughout this building remain steadfast. #MissingMyMomma by @captainoftheghetto

Fifty years later, my feet met history. Selma breeze, sacred ground, steady steps across the Edmund Pettus Bridge. We honor Dr. King by walking it forward. ✊🏾🕊️ #Selma #EdmundPettusBridge #HonorDrKing #50Years by @captainoftheghetto
