My why.

2019 was a detrimental year. I weight close to 100lbs. I was lost. I was constantly reminded of how little I was and how “sick” I looked. It took years to get back to a normal weight.

I struggled to find peace in life and relationships. I was often searching for anything to find happiness. Completely closed minded to those who cared about me and needed to find my own way. It wasn’t until I hit rock bottom that I needed a shift.

Bodybuilding helped me find me and happiness within myself. A goal that I worked long and hard at. A complete shift of mindset really did the trick. Life is full of either lessons or blessings. Healing is a constant journey.

It’s something that can only be earned, not brought. Nobody can take this away from me. It’s always me vs. me. The only person who is in control is me. But I remind myself asking for help is never a sign of weakness.

If God wakes you up to another day, be thankful. There’s so much going on in this world that’s so negative. I’m blessed beyond measure for my village.

I’m grateful I have an able body and mind to pursue bodybuilding. The future may be unknown but I wont stop working. There’s a job to get done and it’s a constant work in progress. Being better than I was yesterday is my only goal. Not only with bodybuilding but with life as well. Life is short and I’m not going to sit around waiting for shit to come to me. Until then I’ll be working ⚒️

Sometimes you need to sit back and smell the roses. When you’re not feeling your best, go back and see how far you’ve come. A year between those photos 🤩

One thing that was different this go around versus last was my mindset. Trusted God’s plan and allowed redirection instead of fighting it.

I didn’t experience the post show blues. I allowed myself to live a little but controlled the controllable. I continue to remind myself of how far I’ve come and learned to love what I saw in the mirror, lean or not.

Not stressing about the scale, if my waist is tight enough, or if I still have tie ins. Why? That’s the beauty of the sport, I won’t be this small next go around.

Last show lit a fire that’s going to be hard to put out. Few more weeks before we start pushing so I’m going to continue nailing this reverse and continue to fall back in love with training again.

And for the naysayers - I didn’t lose my cycle this prep - was even on my cycle on show day. That’s on having a good coach ‼️ @taylormoore_7 by @captmorgg_

with passion or nothing at all 🗡️
