My experiments on watercolour peonies - I’ve always struggled a lot with painting this uniquely beautiful flower in a loose watercolour style. I can paint in the realistic style pretty well for peonies or any flower for that matter, probably because I’m pretty good at sketching. But I’ve never been able to wrap my mind around loosely painting the dense and gorgeous layers of a peony successfully. I so badly want to create a loose watercolor floral painting with peonies as the main focal point. And I wanted it to be my own style. So I decided to start experimenting to figure out my style. I started from doing a basic peony roughly achieving the shape of the flower with basic strokes and kept building from there. I’m loving this journey for me! I will show you a progress video of the experimentation of trying to achieve my unique style of painting peonies. #paintingprocess #learntopaint #howtopaint #paintingreel #paintingreels #aquarelle #aquarelleflowers #aquarellefleurs #floraldesign #pocart #womenartist #womenartists #femaleartist #paintingpractice #watercolorpractice #artreels #artlover #dailypainting #practicemakesprogress #watercolourflowers #watercolour by @carlisdivyadesign
Hello there! I'm so excited this moment, as I reveal my logo here. I did not post much about the logo while it was taking shape, because I wanted to keep it a secret until everything was ready. A lot of work went behind the scenes, and after a lot of trial and error and a zillion attempts, I finally designed the logo that I've always wanted. As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I've included some of my favourite colours that I love and that beautifully came together to create the vibe for my brand. As much as I love the watercolour wreath, I also love how the wreath that I created with the real flowers for the flat-lay. I loved it so much that I contemplated branching out on a new side hustle in flat-lay photography! Swipe 👉🏽 to see next photo. No wonder I'm this excited! I have waited so long to show this to you guys and can't wait to see if you all love the logo too. Yay! Let me know what you think! • #branding #logo #carlisdivyadesign #logodesign #watercolorartist #watercolor #watercolorist #watercolours #watercolors #lettering #letteringartist #artist #artistsoninstagram #artistsofinstagram #mybrand #branddesign #watercolorart #watercolorillustration #love #happy #soulful #showsomelove #florals #floralsyourway #floralsforspring #floralillustration #florallove #floraldesign by @carlisdivyadesign
