"If you waste your time a-talkin'
To the people who don't listen
To the things that you are sayin'
Who do you think's gonna hear?
And if you should die explainin' how
The things that they complain about
Are things they could be changin'
Who do you think's gonna care?" #drawing #art #paper by @carlos.casuso

Notte d’estate🌙 Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, each one she passes goes “aah”
When she walks, she’s like a samba
That swings so cool and sways so gentle that
When she passes, each one she passes goes “ooh”
Ooh, but I watch her so sadly
How can I tell her I love her?
Yes I would give my heart gladly
But each day, when she walks to the sea
She looks straight ahead, not at me
Tall, and tan, and young, and lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walking and
When she passes, I smile but she doesn’t see, doesn’t see
Ooh, but I watch her so sadly
Aah, porque tudo é tão triste?
Yes, I would give my heart gladly
But each day, when she walks to the sea
She looks straight ahead, not at me
Tall, tan, young, lovely
The girl from Ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, I smile but she doesn’t see
Por causa do amor
She just doesn’t see
Nem olha pra mim
She never sees me

Neurosis/Deconstruction

D:160x160x2cm
M:Oil,Oil Bar and graphite on canvas
Y:2025

A face emerges, only to dissolve—a female figure clutching her own visage, fingers merging with skin, hair unraveling into fragile strands that ensnare and obscure. In Neurosis/Deconstruction, the act of self-touch becomes both concealment and revelation, a gesture of distress and dissolution. The painting wavers between presence and erasure, where figuration disintegrates into abstraction, the strokes restless, the forms unstable. What was once defined is now undone, an image in the process of forgetting itself. by @carlos.casuso

$Sleepers D:160x160x2cm M:Oil and graphite on canvas. Y:2025 A liminal space between figuration and abstraction, The Sleepers unfolds as a fractured vision of bodies intertwined, collapsed upon a field that echoes a battlefield or a place of quiet surrender. Their forms dissolve into one another, barely held together by the tension of the brushstroke—raw, gestural, deliberate in its minimalism. The painting unravels itself as much as it constructs, a conscious deconstruction of a language I have labored to master. Here, the act of painting is exposed, stripped of certainty, caught between presence and disappearance. by @carlos.casuso$

Times are hard, you’re afraid to pay the fee
So you find yourself somebody
Who can do the job for free
When you need a bit of lovin’
‘Cause your man is out of town
That’s the time you get me runnin’
And you know I’ll be around

I’m a fool to do your dirty work, oh yeah
I don’t wanna do your dirty work no more
