POSTS STORIES REELS

Riflessi, my latest EP, is now available for streaming!

I’m so excited to share these 7 tracks - pieces of myself and pieces of my voice you haven’t heard before.

“Riflessi” is the Italian word for “reflections” - of thoughts, of light, of self. This music is meant to take you out of your daily noise, whatever that may be, and give you space to look inward. That’s how I found my own sense of peace, and how I began to make sense of pieces of myself that didn’t always feel clear.

I’m so deeply grateful to everyone who was part of this EP.
Thank you to Kevin Killen for the care and patience put into mixing the project, and for believing in it.
Thank you to Jamie Lawrence for mastering it so beautifully.
Thank you to my friend and fellow composer Yilun Song for collaborating with me on “Alien” - I truly loved that process.
Thank you to Sam Vladimirsky for translating into image exactly what the project needed.
Thank you to Francesco Rutigliani for your eye and for capturing such beautiful moments of my city, Rome.
Thank you to my dear friend Miu Sato for being there through all of it.
And thank you to Gil Talmi for guiding me in the early stages of this journey.

Performing “Home” - written and orchestrated by the brilliant @miusicsato - at the @alanmenken concert was one of those pinch-me moments. A night I’ll never forget.

Yes - the Alan Menken. The legendary composer behind Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and so many of the films that shaped our childhoods. Sharing the stage in celebration of his music was already surreal…and then came Home.

Miu wrote this song over a year ago, and from the very first time I heard it, it made me emotional. Over time, it evolved: new keys, shifting tempos, riffs that came and went. But the soul of it and the question at its core, “Where is my home?”, never changed.

Hearing it played by a full orchestra and singing it live, moved me more than I can say.

Thank you, Miu, for welcoming me into the world of this song from the very beginning. For trusting me to be its voice, and allowing me to help others find a sense of home through your music. 🤍

Stay tuned for more…✨

I’m extremely grateful that Shattered Expectations, documentary directed by @crispinkerrdineen and scored by me, has been named a finalist for the College Television Awards! 🌟

Writing the music for Shattered Expectations has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my journey so far. @wendy.larsen.handcyclist ‘s story is powerful, courageous, and deeply human, and it stayed with me long after I watched the first cut.

Our tiny two-person team, just Crispin and I, poured our heart into telling Wendy’s story in a way that felt right and I’m very proud of what we have created! 🎬 by @carlottaromano_

What a weekend!!

Our very first Her Voice Film Festival has officially come to a close, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped bring these three days to life.

To everyone who attended, showed your support, and joined us in celebrating the work of women and non-binary film composers - thank you for being part of the Her Voice community.

To our incredible panelists, thank you for sharing your experiences, perspectives, and knowledge with our audience.

To every filmmaker and composer who trusted us with their work, and especially those who joined us in person for screenings and Q&As, thank you for allowing us to celebrate your films and the collaborations behind them.

To all of our sponsors and partners, thank you for believing in our vision and helping us make this festival possible. A very special thank you to @ckproductionsny, our main sponsor, for supporting us every step of the way and being there with us throughout the entire weekend.

And thank you to Brooklyn Art Haus for giving Her Voice a home for these three days.

This was our first festival - and only the beginning. We’re leaving this weekend with so much gratitude, so much learned, and even more motivation to keep building a space that amplifies the voices of women and non-binary composers in film.

Thank you for being part of our first chapter. We can’t wait to see where Her Voice goes next. ✨

See you next year🎬 by @carlottaromano_

Miu’s songs on this EP speak to me on such a personal level, revealing parts of my identity that I’ve often struggled to put into words. Thank you, Miu, for trusting me to be the voice for your writing and for letting me sing my heart out on these songs.

I cherish our beautiful friendship. To many more collaborations in music and beyond🚀 by @carlottaromano_

I like to think of the music as a space for reflection. A place to get lost in your own thoughts. by @carlottaromano_

I got lost in a thousand pieces.
Life scattered them everywhere.

Riflessi is how I put them back together.

The EP will be available to stream on April 10th, 2026. by @carlottaromano_
