When I first felt your love Jesus, that’s a moment I will never forget for the rest of my life 🥹

I remember that moment like it was yesterday! In my bedroom encountering Jesus and feeling his forgiveness and mercy on me.

Sometimes we need to go back to the beginning when all we wanted was His Presence! I had to think to my self this past week when did life become so busy that God’s Presence wasn’t enough for me? Singing “nothing else” really convicted me to find that passion in His Presence again and not the busyness of life 🫶🏾

I’m going back to the beginning and it’s never felt safer during this season of my life. Just raw worship to my Abba Father 🤍

Happens every time I cook 😂

Anytime I got gospel music playing in the background, I got to take a quick praise break 🙂‍↔️

And yes every time I will find anything to become my microphone 😂 @goyafoods Adobo seasoning is usually my go to mic in the kitchen😆

I DID NOT trust the church👇🏾

It’s crazy because when I decided to step down from leading worship, I didn’t know when I would be back. I experienced church hurt so I just decided to walk away from ministry until further notice.

I didn’t know when I would sing again because I didn’t trust church people. I was like yeah they are nice and godly until they aren’t. I was going to different church but never cared to commit. Even when I came to the church I’m at now, I still was doubting church and the people in it. I believed in Jesus but not the people that claim to love Him.

But my heart didn’t change until I made the decision to join the worship team at my current church. It was the heart of the leaders on the worship team that shifted my heart. They were so genuine, kind, and transparent. Their love for Jesus was so obvious and that care that they showed me started to break down my guard and doubts about the church.

I say all this to say don’t let one season dictate decisions in the next. God can redeem your story and write you a new one. Just because one church hurt you in the past doesn’t mean the next one will. Serving the local church healed my hurting heart 🫶🏾

Stop reaching for your phone 📱 Reach for your Bible 📖

1. Set the tone for the day. It’s so easy to get anxious with all the noise that this world brings. When I read the word of God, I find myself to be more at peace throughout the day.

2. Allows God to speak to you through His word before people speak to you. I rather hear from God than outside voice early in the morning. People can talk to you about their stress and problems and now you’re stressed listening to their issues and opinions. It’s better to hear from the Lord before everyone else.

3. Prepares you for any issues throughout the day! When you read God’s word, you are stronger spiritually so when the enemy comes to distract you and throw you off during the day, YOU’RE READY! You can react with God’s word and scripture.

Don’t believe those lies‼️

The enemy will always do things that are the opposite of what the word of God says! Jesus came to give you life and life more abundantly!

Anytime I feel like I’m discouraged or down I know it’s not of God and I open up my Bible 📖 and speak the word of God over my mind and body! Once I did that I felt so much confidence in my life even in how I walked! Confidence in Christ will have you walking different girl 😁❤️

Accept Jesus in to your life today so you can experience true freedom!
