It's just one year of a thousand! ❤️ Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary to us! by @carolarrieluk
It all started over 4 years ago with a message on LinkedIn. You had just found out I was hired at Jaguar Land Rover, and even before we officially started working together, you reached out simply to welcome me and offer your help with my relocation from Italy to the UK. I’ll never forget my very first day at JLR. After a morning of induction meetings, overwhelmed by my purely “academic” English and feeling completely out of place, I broke down in tears at lunch, ready to book the first flight back home. But that afternoon, everything changed. You were the first person of the team to greet me at the Whitley gates with a huge smile, and the first thing I told you after your introduction was “What a relief, I can actually understand you!” 🥹 So much has happened since that day! You passed down all your knowledge on aftertreatment and project engineering, guiding me step by step and helping me flourish. You have been an extraordinary colleague and an incredible teacher, welcoming, understanding, and infinitely patient. Over time, we grew from teammates to close friends, celebrating our most special milestones together, including both of our weddings. Thanks to you, I also met incredible girls who became true friends. You are the kind of person everyone hopes to cross paths with. Work is going to feel so quiet and sad without you, no more coffee breaks together, no more solving engineering problems side by side. I will miss you immensely, but I know our friendship will continue way beyond these office walls. As you step away from engineering to launch your new massage therapy business, I know you will have absolute success. You are the most empathetic, warm, sweet, and caring person I’ve ever met. You bring light and positivity wherever you go, and I have no doubt you will bring so much comfort to everyone around you. I’ll be cheering for you every step of the way. Good luck, my friend! ☀️❤️✨ by @carolarrieluk

It can rain! ☔ I am prepared! . The English weather taught me that I should always prepare myself for any unexpected weather changes. . It can be a rainy morning, but expect for the sun to shine later! ☀️ . Remember: Life is not different! Beijos Carol Arriel 🦋 #raincoat #lifequotes #englishweather by @carolarrieluk
Hear... Here comes... 😂 Another "normal" day in the life of a T1D... 😄 . Between daily planning, ups & and downs, and a lot of root-cause analysis! . Hear my story that I prepared for English and Portuguese speakers, thinking of you all! You ask me, and I listen! 😉 . Beijos and tchau! Carol Arriel 🦋 . #diabetes by @carolarrieluk
The face of accomplishment! I never thought that walking 25km crossing the 16 bridges of the centre of London could be a challenge, physically and mentally. But when you meet friends on your way and share a bit about your story with them, and vice-versa, it reduces the weight of this challenge, making it rather enjoyable somehow, despite of the literal pain it may cause. I haven't registered everything (of course), but here is just a little bit of this day for me to remember, and mainly to thank the lovely friends, family and colleagues I have, that motivated me before and during this challenge, by the donations they made to @breakthrought1d @breakthrought1duk as I did it to supporte their cause that is very close to my heart (and pancreas! 😅). I love you all! ♥️ Specially my generous husband! 😜 I carried you all in my mind during the trekking and that gave me mental and physical strength to complete this challenge! (and to walk more from now on as I realized I can be fit to do a circuits or spin class, but walking I still have some progress to make! 🤣) Love, Carol 🦋 #ultrachallenge #breakthrought1d #thamesbridges #london #towerbridge by @carolarrieluk
