She was unable to find a dependable place to board her own pet when an emergency occurred at home, so she built one.

Her name is Varsha Kannan and she is the founder of @carrots.blr , which is a premium pet hospitality startup based in Bangalore. The company is focused on treating pets as if they were part of the family.

What started as just a way to help out friends and neighbours with their pets has turned into something much more substantial. The original idea was simply trust, but with the addition of homemade treats, birthday cakes, and custom boarding for pets became what Carrots is today.

In less than three months after launching, the company has already gained almost 100 customers, has achieved breakeven without any serious marketing campaigns.
Carrots will continue to grow past pet care as a one stop shop for everything your pet will need, such as; boarding, daycare, grooming, training, treats and other products, and, of course, birthday parties.
