This week’s #alumnispotlight shines on Seth Petty ’16, who graduated from Carthage with degrees in political science and criminal justice. Involved in football and track and field during his time at Carthage, Seth carried the teamwork and dedication he developed as a student-athlete into his career of service.

According to an article published by the Herald-Whig, Seth serves as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy and is currently stationed at the Mariner Skills Training Center for the Pacific (MSTCPAC). There, he serves as an instructor, providing training for surface warfare officers as they prepare for their roles in the fleet. Following a family tradition of military service, Lt. Petty continues to demonstrate leadership, teamwork and a commitment to serving others.

Thank you for your service, Lt. Petty! 🇺🇸
