Catch report from Casper 🎣

A fine mirror carp caught on a single 18mm Monster Crab Hard Hook, fished over a small amount of free offerings — just 2–3 handfuls of the same bait.

The fish picked up the bait in the middle of the night, from a bare spot surrounded by 1.5 metres of dense weed.

This was an important fish for me, and a great one to finally land after losing several fish on this exact spot over the past month because of the massive amount of weed.

Definitely a fish that meant something! 💪🎣

Catch Report from Martin & Casper 🎣

Martin and Casper spent three nights by the lake, with two days of high temperatures and flat calm conditions followed by strong winds and cooler temperatures.

The first night, Martin was woken by a short one toner. The carp had picked up a 24 mm Monster Crab Hardhook and headed straight into the weed. After a solid fight, the fish was finally free and safely over the net. A smaller common, but no less welcome.

The weed proved to be a tough opponent throughout the session, with four carp lost in total, one for Martin and three for Casper.

Thankfully, several fish also made it safely to the bank. Casper landed a mirror on a single 18 mm Spicy Squid Hardhook over 18 and 24 mm Spicy Squid boilies, syrup and Spicy Squid stickmix at 9 pm in completely calm, clear conditions.

Later, another common came at 4 am on a single 18 mm Scoopex Banana Hardhook over a bed of whole and halved 18 mm Scoopex Banana boilies.

Three nights, changing conditions, a few frustrating losses and plenty of CFC action. Exactly what a session by the lake is all about.

Catch report from Casper 🎣

I took a quick overnight session with my 6 year old son, where the main plan was simply to enjoy some quality time together, but of course I was also hoping to land a carp.

The spots were baited with a mix of Monster Crab and Spicy Squid boilies, soaked in Spicy Squid Syrup, all from CFC.

I had a take during the evening, but when I lifted the rod, the fish had already managed to slip away. The night remained quiet, but in the morning there was some activity on the outer rod, fishing in 2.7 metres of water.

An hour later, the rod ripped off in a proper one toner. This time there was contact, and after a longer fight I managed to land this beautiful common carp.

The fish fell for a single 18 mm Monster Crab Hardhook.

Catch report from Casper:

I was out fishing with my mate, and after losing a couple of fish, we went to bed knowing that a major weather change would hit us during the early morning hours.

Sure enough, the rod furthest out screamed off just as the rain was pouring down and lightning and thunder were all around us. There was nothing else to do but jump into the inflatable boat, feeling a little nervous as the storm rolled overhead.

Fortunately, we managed to land this beautiful common carp, which fell for a snowman rig consisting of a 24 mm Spicy Squid Hard Hook topped with a 15 mm Spicy Squid Pop Up.

The baiting strategy consisted of a mix of CFC’s Finest.

Casper recently spent a session at Forest Lake in Lynge, where a quiet night suddenly turned into action shortly after 07:00 in the morning.

He had just climbed out of the bedchair and was sitting quietly watching the lake as the first sunlight started breaking through the morning sky. Just as the thought crossed his mind that the rising sun might finally trigger a bite, the middle rod ripped off.

After a solid fight, Casper slipped the net under a beautiful mirror carp caught on a coated 18 mm Monster Crab hard hookbait topped with a Scoopex Banana fake corn presentation. The spot had been baited with 18 mm Monster Crab boilies and feed corn.

Fishing the Claus Meilstrup Memorial Cup together with his regular fishing partner, Casper decided to trust the technology and search before committing to spots in the difficult conditions.

With strong winds pushing across the lake, the pair headed out in the boat using SideVü to scan the area. Several carp were located holding close to the drop offs, and for Casper the decision was simple… place a rig exactly where the fish were showing on the screen.

The approach paid off.

Fishing in 4 meters of water, Casper received a take on a D rig paired with a single 24 mm Monster Crab hookbait. Around the spot, matching Monster Crab boilies soaked in Chicken Liver Liquid added extra attraction in the cold water.

This beautiful common carp was the reward for staying sharp, adapting to the conditions and trusting the process.

Unfortunately the wind continued to build throughout the session and the carp seemed to disappear shortly after, but sometimes one opportunity is all you need.
