Both artists reimagine the debris of the present, folding it back into the proximity of human care. By adapting traditional techniques such as weaving, carving and sewing and grafting them to the by-products of industry, the hand of the maker becomes a mechanism of resistance against both material extraction and digital automation. In ๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ต๐˜ฉ ๐˜ฆ๐˜ท๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜บ ๐˜ด๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ธ, the artists seek to recover an ancient rhythm of making, establishing a connection to a collective, ancestral pulse that persists despite the automation of the modern world. by @cassieireland
