Ever wonder about the inspiration behind our Butterscotch? It’s a sweet trip down memory lane! Think back to those little caramel candies in the clear plastic wrappers the nice old ladies at church would hand out—especially my paternal grandma (aka mamadear) who’d give them out like hotcakes. Since this watch theme leans into childhood nostalgia and a creative spirit, we decided to go all out with vibrant colors! 🎨 Secure your unique GMT timepiece by placing your pre-order today at rookandcastleco.com/the-tez. Don’t miss out! #TheTezWatch #Butterscotch #ChildhoodMemories #UniqueTimepiece #PreOrderNow by @castillademusic

For years, the watch world has put the GMT function in the exact same place. I decided to do things differently. Meet the Rook & Castle Tez GMT—our patent-pending approach to horology featuring a custom-modified Miyota 9075 movement where time is represented right in the window. Flipping it over reveals an exhibition caseback inscribed with “I’m on the way”—a personal tribute to my late father and a reminder to slow down in a fast-paced world. Available in two signature shades: Matcha and Butterscotch. - 39.5mm 316L custom-molded steel case - Textured chessboard dial & ceramic crispy bezel - Comfortable mesh bracelet - 100M water resistance This is a strict 50-piece Founder’s Run. Pre-orders are live right now at the link in bio for $999 ($1,200 value) to lock in Winter 2027 delivery. Make time yours. 👉🏾 rookandcastleco.com/the-tez #RookAndCastle #GMT #WatchMod #MicrobrandWatches #Horology by @castillademusic

I met @castillademusic a few years ago and I had no idea how much of a blessing his friendship he would be. I’d be here all day listing all the reasons I appreciate him, but the important thing to know is that when he calls, I show up! I’m not a product photographer, but I’m super happy with how these images came out. And, I’m honored to have played a small part in the @rookandcastleco story. The Tez GMT is basically named after my late father with a nod to my late mom. A reminder to treasure your time. #watches #microbrand #blackownedbusiness #atlanta #jacksonstateuniversity by @castillademusic
This one was emotional for me. Years of work for this moment. This is my first mechanical contribution to horology. Something different from the industry approach. My goal here is to challenge the way we think and talk about time. It’s a note to my late dad. And it means the world to me to share this with you all. Only 40 are being made available for pre-sale before production. There’s a story behind the whole thing but it starts here. It would mean the world to me to have your support.
