‘A Sound Experiment’ by Crawler ft. gervaise

A deep and resonant thank you to the team @fiberfestival and @brakkegrond for the opportunity to showcase this sonic collaboration. It’s been a true joy to work together as a trio over these past few months, and to have our performance received & felt so truthfully is not lost on us in the slightest!

With special thanks to our bright particulars for their unyielding support, and to everyone in the audience who joined us to experience this collaboration.

For now, make sure to mark the 21th of October in your calender. We’re busy threading together something new together with @muziekgebouw can’t wait to share more news soon.

Really excited to share that Crawler ft. Gervaise is coming out of its shell for the first time at @fiberfestival , on 30th May at de Brakke Grond.

This is the first of many shapes that this project will take. A quiet eruption, a listening space and sound experiment at the same time.

This Saturday we bring Crawler (Zohar & Castle) ft. Gervaise to FIBER Festival 2026 with A Sound Experiment – a live analogue set that doubles as a listening room: heavy, intimate, unstable.

Machines, cables, feedback loops and sub‑bass unfold in real time, with Gervaise’s voice, words and breath woven into unbridled density. An opening that emerges from pressure and vulnerability; from a space caught between the dancefloor and a deep listening session.

We spoke with FIBER about how Crawler grew from chance encounters, club culture and sound system histories, and how fragility, grief, desire and collective spaces shape the project within this year’s theme, Fragile Forces. Read the full conversation on the website.

Harry Castle is a sonic artist working at the intersection of experimental music, sound design,field recording, and performance art.
Fascinated by mysticism his work draws inspiration from the driving forces of the dark and unexplored. The omnipresent topics of his pieces explore the uncanny sensations of alienation and decay. Castle’s sound is often a heavy, abrasive fusion of industrial, broken electronics, and experimental.

That time @fiberfestival lured me out of my cave and onto @future.intel; one of the only radios in the Netherlands that understands my love language (static hiss and existential bass drops).

Stepping back into the shadows of @garagenoord this Saturday night, I have the honor of closing after the legendary @adamx_sonicgroove of Sonic Groove records. A return to the sounds that shaped me over a decade ago.

Looking back to the early 2010s, my taste for techno was evolving, and I remember discovering Sonic Groove for the first time through an @orphx_official release called Hunger Knows no Law (2012) that completely altered my perception of this sound. These were my first real interactions with industrial music of any kind, which over the years has been the primary thread linking all of my work together.

I remember playing at a house party back in France in 2014, probably my first real DJ set, and I played Adam X’s « Irreformable » thinking how much this type of techno made sense to me. Raw, gritty, hypnotic and driving. Obviously over the years tastes and trends change, but this remains the type of techno that I go back to regularly. @adamx_sonicgroove and @regis.dns ´s downwards became my guiding light through all of the changes that techno has gone through over the years.

@fixmermccarthy (RIP) and Adam X were some of the first to cross-pollinate the sounds of Industrial and EBM music into techno, Adam X branding this style as « Industrialized Techno ». When the harder-edged styles of techno became entangled in loop mode and minimal took hold, Adam refused to conform, instead diving deeper into the Industrial/EBM scene.

On Saturday night I’ll be looking back and pushing forwards, bringing gritty punk-infused 4/4 techno pulsating in to the garage once again. I’m excited to play after a true legend and to bring my interpretation of this sound that I fell in love with over a decade ago to life.
