Everyone’s hard work, growth, and dedication were on full display out on the water. 💙 Special thanks to @opadbf for putting together such an eventful and memorable weekend! 🙌 The beachfront racecourse was beautiful, the food vendors were amazing, and we loved seeing the whole dragonboat community come out! by @catch22nycdb
CATCH22 ROCKIN AT ROCKLAND 🤟🥇🥈🥉 What an action packed day of racing at the New York International Dragon Boat Festival! Catch22 was excited to return, now with crews racing in mixed, open, and women’s divisions. We fought hard bringing home 🥇 in mixed, 🥈in open, and 🥉in women’s! Big thanks to @gwndragonboat for organizing such a fun race day at a beautiful local site. The work doesn’t stop here. It’s back to training as we prepare to represent ourselves at CCWC in Taiwan 🇹🇼 📸 Thanks to our friends over at @electricdragonsnyc for taking some awesome photos! by @catch22nycdb
💪💪💪 STARTING THE SEASON STRONG 🥇🥈🥈
Catch22 showed up strong at IDBR with 4️⃣ crews in our first race of the year. We couldn’t be prouder of what the team accomplished this early in the season: Premier Women 🥇: Not only first podium at IDBR but first standard GOLD in the books! An amazing milestone for our growing women’s program. Premier Open 🥈: Race after race, the crew kept building and climbing, ultimately shooting out of the gates and earning a hard-fought silver-medal finish. Premier Mixed 🥈: Secured a hard-earned silver after every athlete cross-rostered into women’s or open boats, finishing in a photo finish with just 0.02 seconds separating gold and silver. Mixed Blue : New crew with several paddlers making their dragon boat debut, this group kept gaining momentum all day - toughing their way into Minor A Finals and finishing 11 seconds faster by the final race. We want to thank @phillydragonboat for organizing and hosting this incredible weekend! Our standard premier mixed, standard premier women and small boat premier Open teams will be competing later this summer at CCWC Taiwan! Lots of valuable lessons and experiences learned over the weekend. We can only get better from here on our #roadtotaiwan by @catch22nycdb
Catch22 @ #bfte2026 🔥 Earlier this month, we trekked up to Boston for the annual indoor paddling regatta. Huge thanks to @onedragonboat for hosting such an incredible event for the dragonboat community—always a great time competing alongside all the strong teams across the Northeast. Great job to all the Catch paddlers who showed up and absolutely crushed it! We brought the energy, supported each other, and made every race count 💪 by @catch22nycdb
CATCHROX 2026 ✅ First ever CatchRox event in the books! Congrats to everyone who showed up, it was no easy feat. Interested in joining events like this in the future? Join us! Details in bio. by @catch22nycdb
Another CCNC in the books! Without any small boat practices prior to arriving in Sarasota, a brand new coaching staff and two sets of new drummers and steerers who had just learned their jobs months earlier, the team pulled together and delivered. Small Boat Premier Open 500m🥇 200m🥇 2000m🥇 Small Boat Premier Women 500m🥉 200m🥇 2000m🥉 Our premier open small boat swept every race and pulled the fastest times on both the 500m and 200m across all small boat divisions. As if that wasn’t enough, our ladies and gentlemen on the small boats double rostered into a standard boat and came out 5th overall, securing another berth in the most competitive division at CCNC, Standard Boat Premier Mixed. With multiple berths earned, we are now in position to send the most athletes to CCWC in Catch22’s history. We look forward to representing the USA in Taiwan next year! 🇺🇸 🇹🇼 Interested in joining us? Stay tuned for tryout deets. by @catch22nycdb
We approached Mercer as an opportunity to test our limits and it definitely delivered. Very proud of what our athletes accomplished last weekend: Mixed - Every athlete double rostered into our gender boats, racing a total of ten races each. The crew finished a respectable 5th out of 18 Mixed Crews and achieved ERDBA Mixed 🥉 Open - With two strong ladies and many rookie paddlers who have never competed in A division, the crew finished 5th out of 10 Open Crews and achieved ERDBA Open 🥇 Women’s- Racing with just 18 ladies and several first year paddlers, the crew finished 4th out of 18 Women’s Crews and achieved ERDBA Women’s 🥈 Congrats to all our East coast paddle friends @baostonbbb @boston1dragonboat @bostonstorm_db @ueaadragonboat @bucksdragonboat @schuylkilldragons We can only get better from here. All part of the process. Next up will be the final stretch of our season, CCNC 2025! #roadtotaiwan 🇺🇸🇹🇼 by @catch22nycdb
We are concluding our mid-season recap series with the 35th Annual Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival, held in our very own Flushing, Queens! 🐉 Our Premier Mixed Crew took Silver🥈in the 500M and Gold🥇in the 250M. Between shallow lanes, equipment malfunctions, and unpredictable starter calls, the Flushing race never fails to keep us on our toes! Congrats to all our friends in the NYC dragon boat community on a great day of racing! @ueaadragonboat @electricdragonsnyc @xtremeny @vaxdragonboat @dchracing Catch22 was also proud to represent HSBC and Inak Design in the Sponsors Invitational and Media Invitational, taking home Gold in both divisions! 🏆🏆 Two more races left in the season. Continuing our mid-season recap series: the first-ever New York International Dragon Boat Festival! Our Mixed boat took Gold in the Sports Division! 🥇🏆 Cheers to @gwndragonboat for hosting another fantastic event. We had a great time soaking in the sights at Rockland Lake State Park, and it was so much fun racing against our Flushing Marina friends: @electricdragonsnyc @dchracing @nywallstreetdragons @vaxdragonboat and @xtremeny !🐉 . . . #catch22strong #readycatchGO #notsobad #dragonboatfam #usdbf #paddlebaes #paddlefam #nycdragonboat #teamsports #paddlesup #regatta #zre #newyorkcity #strongfamily #nycdb #usa #fitfam #gwndragonboat #nycdragonboat #eastcoastdb #oddball #rocklandstatepark by @catch22nycdb
Next up on our mid-season recap: Montreal! It was an incredible and humbling experience to witness the awe-inspiring performances from our northern neighbors and to race at the iconic Olympic Basin. 🇨🇦 Montreal gave us an invaluable chance to apply everything we’ve learned so far this season as we adopt a new technique. While we didn’t make it to the podium, we made solid progress putting our revamped tech to the test and syncing up even more as a team. The race also marked the debut of our new women’s crew jerseys! 💃 Will our men’s crew be able to match this?? The season isn’t over yet… 👀 Speaking of style, our crew also picked up some elite performance sunglasses from @zizuoptics , be sure to check them out! UV eye protection has never looked so good. 😎 Big thanks to @missiondragonboat for such a well run race. It was great seeing our fellow New Yorkers, @ueaadragonboat and @electricdragonsnyc ! Way to represent NYC. And always a pleasure seeing our friends @boston1dragonboat and @baostonbbb crushing it as well! . . . #catch22strong #readycatchGO #notsobad #dragonboatfam #usdbf #paddlebaes #paddlefam #nycdragonboat #teamsports #paddlesup #regatta #zre #newyorkcity #strongfamily #nycdb #missiondb #montreal #usa #canada #fitfam #nycdragonboat #eastcoastdb #Montrealdb #bbb #oddball by @catch22nycdb
