"Life, Death, and the Void"

A gothic dark fantasy novel that follows Jin Hanxi, a Child of Death revived by a human woman and stripped of every memory of her former life. Remembering only her faith, Jin Hanxi is determined to return to her goddess, Mother Death.

In exchange for aiding the woman in researching the Children of Death and their magic, they travel together, gathering the materials for Jin Hanxi’s burial rite so she may slip once more into the Journey of Souls.

Amid ruin and reverence, Jin Hanxi begins to realise she may be falling for the very embodiment of her own destruction.

I realized I never properly introduced the lovely characters of "Life, Death, and the Void" and figured introducing them from the MC's point of view would certainly be fun!

Let me know if you can relate to them or who you think will be your favorite!

I definitely overestimated myself and my chronic illness' ability to cooperate with my October goals but at least I achieved one of them!!

(I started drawing more!)

What did you achieve in October that made you proud?

Why am I always late to trends you ask? Or maybe not? I will answer either way.
I keep forgetting I have them drafted of course :)))

Either way, would you read Life, Death, and the Void based on its AO3 tags? Say yes?

(One of these is completely extinct but I won't tell you which.)

Our world consists of three humanoid races: Humans, Children of Life, and Children of Death.

Children of Life are taller, have warmer tones, and their limbs glow when they are in contact with the sun.

Children of Death are shorter, have cooler tones, and their mostly darker skin is dotted with glowing stars that shine according to their emotions. This is how Children of Death communicate.

Depending on their geological habitat, Children of Life and Children of Death, a race much older than Humans, have evolved to suit their conditions, hence the different kinds of people.

Just like Jin Hanxi (I promise it was not on purpose), I got Children of Death, Sea People. Hanxi comes specifically from Mahai, a small village in the north of the Globe, a village by the ocean.

What about you?

Here are my goals for October!! What are yours? Do you share some?
(If you do please befriend me so we can motivate each other because I don't know if I can do this in 3 weeks.)

Are you also an overachiever?
Help.
