A massive thank you to @rollingstoneuk & @obscure_agency for this article that came out last month. I’m truly honoured that you took the time & interest to highlight my music in this way. ✨ I’m so grateful to those of you here who’ve taken the time to read & celebrate this with me, it means the world as does your continued support of my musical journey. ✨ Here’s an easier way to scroll across & read through the article if you’re interested & haven’t yet. Or you can google Rolling Stone UK Catherine Ashby or copy & paste the link in previous post, I’m artist no 7✨but that’s a bit of a faff 😂 I’m super excited the other songs that go along with the songs - ‘Now’ that can be found on @bandcamp & ‘Ready’ that can be found on @spotifyuk produced by @thejamietate at his beautiful @rukkusroom studio ✨ WILL be out for your listening later this year! ✨ Due to proof checking timing issues for the Rolling Stone article the amazing musicians & friends who were a part of the recordings of said forthcoming album, ‘Ready Now’ weren’t able to be mentioned as I’d hoped, so I’m happy to share them here. Musicians on my forthcoming album ‘Ready Now’ are Tommy Harden - Drums, Percussion & band leader @tempotommy Pat McGrath - acoustic guitar Rachel Loy - Bass guitar Daniel Donato - Electric guitar @thedanieldonato Jeff King - Guitar. Michael Rojas - Piano/keys Jim Hoke - Flute, Piano, Slide guitar Patrick Sansone - Mellotron @sansonic1 @sansonica_music Austin Hoke - Cello So pleased I got to celebrate this article with performances @accessfilmmusic in Paris the other week @ecufilmfestival with @rahelnbeck @sarahcello @andybeckey @danielkemish @emmy_lost_in_space @amandarandallc @denise_mangiardi @castironshoes amongst other talented souls of song & screen 🎥 #musicmakeseverythingbetter #rollingstoneuk #rolingstonemagazine #newmusiccomingsoon #catherineashbymusic #london #readynow #paris #nashville #ecu #englishartist #singer #songwriter #ibanezguitars #recordingartist #taylorguitars #acoustic #original #folkmusic #indiefolk #americanamusic #laurelcanyonvibes #create #connect #experiment #music #womeninmusic #songs #somethingstaketime by @catherineashbymusic

Konzert am Samstag, 30. Mai 14.30 Uhr draußen auf Spendenbasis Catherine Ashby is an English Folk Americana artist, lover of the natural world with a sensitive troubadour spirit. Catherine’s songwriting weaves reflective lyrics with enchanting melodies creating songs from the heart that stay in your head long after the last note is sung. Music medicine for our worlds troubled times bringing songs of love, hope, beauty even through loss with peace & connection. Recently featured as a Rolling Stone UK artist to watch, describing Catherine’s sound as steeped in nature, nostalgia & emotional resonance, drawing comparisons to American songwriting legends and British folk traditions. Tracks like ‘Ready’ and ‘Now’, recorded in Nashville with Grammy-winning producer Jamie Tate, reveal her ability to marry timeless Americana with a distinctly British lyrical intimacy. Alongside these singles, Catherine has re-released her self-produced debut album ‘King of My Sky’, The album showcases her depth as both a writer and producer, painting vivid sonic landscapes with every verse even in her very early work. Whether performing solo with just her guitar or accompanied by a full band, Catherine creates an atmosphere that feels deeply personal and powerfully transportive. "This is a discovery this voice! She's a fantastic songwriter as well, there's a turn of phrase about her songwriting I really like." Bob Harris - BBC Radio 2 #waldwinkel_cafe_bentherberg by @catherineashbymusic

It’s hard to believe It’s been a little over a week since you left @cazzamataz I love this photo I found of us in Nashville. ✨ ✨ We’d not seen in each other in a while, sometimes it would be like that then we’d meet up & pick back up where we left off like no time had passed. As a German native, although a long term Londoner, I so appreciated your encouragement around me sharing music in Germany. I’ll think of you often when I’m there next month. I treasure the memories of fun times we shared & the truly awesome human that you are Caz! ✨ ✨ Grateful beyond words to have known you during your far too brief yet brilliantly bright time on this crazy planet. Some more photos of this gorgeous, creative human from our shoot last week! @catherineashbymusic is a very authentic, grounded artist and wanted her photos to reflect that. I used a vintage film style edit on her photos to help make them look timeless. This part of the shoot was our attempt at 'backstage before a gig' energy, I think it worked! We hire the perfect space, not too flashy, quite vintage (almost 70s vibes?), very much on brand for her with a classic teal/orange colour palette that lent itself so well to this type of edit! I absolutely adore the first shot I think she looks like a film star 🤩 by @catherineashbymusic
Thank you for continuing to listen like & share my five song collection of live acoustic recordings ‘Three Summers Past’ with @soundlikefabio joining me on guitar all recorded live with @matt.hillaudio Since @bandcamp Friday last week, your response has been so encouraging that I’ve decided to get them professionally mastered by the fabulous @synergymastering who remastered my debut album from over a decade ago ‘King of my Sky’ in 2023. It’s Bandcamp Friday! So I’ve decided to share a collection of five songs recorded live. Joined by @soundlikefabio adding some beautiful extra guitar all recorded in a few hours by @matt.hillaudio at Audioshed in London. More details on Bandcamp if you’d like to take a look & a listen the (link is in my bio.) Being as the release of ‘Ready Now’ my album mentioned earlier this year in @rollingstoneuk has been delayed until next year, oh the irony with an album title like that lol, anyway I thought it felt right to share something now. It’s perhaps perfectly imperfect but as ever from the heart. I so appreciate all the listens, shares, feedback & donations It really makes such a difference, thank you!
