Some thoughtsā‹Æ And some song šŸŽ§ We never really know the answers when it comes to love and life. Itā€™s all about learning how to love people, how to be loved, and how to love someone deeply. šŸ‡¬šŸ‡§ BRITISH TALK | Conversations with the UK Art Community As part of our Education Programme, we are launching British Talk - a new series of conversations with artists and creative professionals connected to the UK art community. For our very first talk, we are delighted to welcome Kuan Yu Chou @cathy_chou_29 , a Taiwanese artist whose creative journey is connected to London and the UK art scene. In this conversation, Kuan Yu shares her artistic journey, her experience of studying and working within the UK creative environment, and her perspective on building an international art practice. We believe that direct conversations with artists and creatives can open new perspectives, inspire young people and help emerging artists understand the many paths a creative career can take. šŸŽØ Meet our first British Talk speaker - Kuan Yu Chou. This is just the beginning. More conversations with the UK art community are coming soon. Full version you can find on our YouTube channel, link in bio ā¤ļø by @cathy_chou_29

Experience in the degree in which it is experience is heightened vitality. Instead of signifying being shut up within oneā€™s own private feelings and sensations, it signifies active and alert commerce with the world; at its height it signifies complete interpenetration of self and the world of objects and events. -John Dewey, Art as Experience We might spend our whole lives learning how to articulate ourselves, our souls and how to keep that hunger alive. The hunger to feel something, and to let those feelings move through us creatively, like a waterfall, sometimes rushing, sometimes barely flowing, but never completely still. Being an artist is a long journeyā€¦ There is no point at which we finally know everything, or become complete. We have to keep learning in every moment: how to feel, how to see, how to express, and how to stay open to whatever life brings us. Maybe that is what it means to be an artist to keep becoming, without losing the hunger to feel. #thoughts #poems #artoflife #artist #artoftheday by @cathy_chou_29
Some colour in my lifeā€¦ āœØ The day I visited Kew Gardens with my parents. I think it was my third time visiting, and we were lucky to have such lovely weather. My dad really loves plants, so Iā€™m glad they both had a wonderful time. And the funniest thing is, even though weā€™ve been there many times, and even though we often take the same way home, we somehow always find something different along the wayā€¦ I guess thatā€™s one of the lovely things about life even when we think we know a place, thereā€™s always something new to discoveršŸŒ· #colorpalette #colorphotography #diary #writing #colorlove by @cathy_chou_29
Do you make it through your hands? Do you find it through your eyes? Do you hold the truth in your heart? Itā€™s always there. Art is the most effective mode of communication that exists. ā€• John Dewey Thatā€™s the reason we keep ourselves hungry, keep ourselves motivated. Itā€™s always there, showing us who we areā€¦ #femaleartist #contemporanyart #abstractart #thoughts #poems šŸ“· Special thanks to @ell_iny12 by @cathy_chou_29
