I have been away from this space for over a month… I stepped away because I was on a journey I never imagined I would have to take giving my father a farewell.

There is something that changes inside you when you lose a parent. But in the middle of the heartbreak, there is comfort in knowing that my father lived a good life, he was blessed with 82 years, and he is now resting peacefully in the Lord.

If there is one thing this experience has taught me, it is the importance of creating memories. Take the pictures. Record the videos. Capture the little moments. Send voice notes to the people you love.I have pictures of my dad, but I don’t have many voice recordings of him. Sometimes I find myself wondering… will I always remember exactly what his voice sounded like? That thought breaks my heart.

Even though I know my dad had a fulfilled life, grief still comes with the sadness of the moments I wish I had shared with him.

Life is truly precious.
Until we meet again, ATS… continue to rest in the arms of the Lord.
