I’m BEYOND excited to finally share this new work.

When I was first approached about this project by @hbergs_photo last November, it felt like a grim time to have a woman’s body in this country. We were searching for a creative outlet to channel that energy, and both felt inspired to explore strength, femininity, and athleticism in a way that felt meaningful to us. Showcasing these dancers from our perspective became the perfect expression of that moment.

These women are athletes first. Their craft is beautiful but also brutal on their bodies. This personal series examines that complex duality by highlighting the strain, vulnerability, and raw physicality of the subject, shifting the stereotypical vantage point of pole dancing.
Thank you to @Hbergs_photo for asking me to contribute to the larger body of work she’s building that dissects what it is to be a woman.

Thank you to the incredible athletes at @sfpoleanddance and @amysunshine007 for welcoming us into your space and being open to this concept. Ya’ll are amazing. @femmepole and @sexy.angsty.flow. And to @bahawk_studios for your incredible post work.

I’m so proud of what we made. Amy, Karina, and Autumn, thank you for trusting us.

This video was a labor of love between myself and the incredibly talented @bryanallenlamb. When we first started scheming concepts there were a lot of ideas bouncing back and forth, and I’m so stoked with the final edit—it’s like putting pen to paper.

Huge shout out to the crew on this one:

That sweet sweet feeling of newness. The act of stripping down just to rebuild.

Thank you @everywomansmarathon and @galepartners for another glorious campaign. The best yet. And @standardartistsco and @campproductions for making it happen.
