$Tomorrow we we celebrate the final day of our exhibition, at @umbrellastudiotsv with a musical performance from some of our CBFE artists and @diffractioncollective family. Kicking off from 10:30am, 'Living Archive: Live' will open with live electronica by the Captain Beefheart Fluxus Experience, a trio created for the exhibition by Gavin Findlay (guitar and samples), Joel Wilson (drums) and Adam Mclean (synthesisers). They will conjure up never before heard beats and beeps in response to the archive and draw on the sound samples used in the exhibition. We will then welcome @gamut_techno into the Archive to deliver and hour of forward thinking and super slick dark techno. Hope to see you there! 📸 @tszar_ #art #music #creativity #collaboration #livingarchive by @cbfe.inc$

This weekend we will be facilitating four workshops at our headquarters, .cbfe.studio. working with the community, creating pieces to become part of our collaborative installation, Living Archive.

Living Archive a free-standing, organic structure formed through wooden boxes which transcend mere framing. The installation is a living, evolving assemblage that embodies the ongoing dialogue between nature and technology, growth and decay, past and future, resilience and interconnectedness.

Hosted by @umbrellastudiotsv situated at 408 Flinders Street, Townsville CBD. Kicking off at 6pm on the 6th of March 2026.

We would like to thank Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts and The Regional Arts Development Fund for their support in making this project come to fruition.
