And that’s a wrap..

birthday week is coming to a close, 45 times around the sun and it was glorious run.
(I’m redoing 45 since all last year I thought I was 46)
A little share:
About two weeks (every year)before my birthday I dive into some deep soul searching, pondering life and reevaluating my passions. I alway feel like I need more, unsatisfied and often perplexed with how to be, to do and LIVE to the fullest..
but this birthday was different, this birthday was gentle and I’m good with that.

Hope you get some gentle this year.

Gratitude: red, sparkles, love and good people.

A most Beautiful backpacking trip wrapped up in a reel.

Very proud to say We did this!!
We got out of our comfort zones (well expect Eli, this is his comfort zone) got into the wilderness and enjoyed the majestic sights around us.

California storms have been tough on all of us for the past few weeks..
We found this beauty on our driveway. I thought she/he was a goner but when I gently lifted the butterfly to my surprise it started to move. Sedona and I are hoping with a little sun on their wings they can survive.
What ever the outcome may be that little butterfly deserved some Spanish sage to rest on not the soggy ground. Fingers crossed for this little butterfly 🦋

A little late, but not to gloat, summer and I had a really good run.

Song choice- my summer go-to
I’d wake up with this song in my head and it would play several times throughout those summer days! by @celenarenee

May, you were a whole lot of everything.

Welcomed my boy home after completing his first year at ASU watching him grow into himself, thrive in his fraternity, and now stepping up as VP of Fraternal Affairs! I am one proud mama.

Nia made her way home for a planned visit and every single minute of it was sweet as can be bonus, she was still in town when we caught the Michael Jackson movie in theaters with my mom and sisters. That one’s going straight to the core memory file.

Celebrated Noemi turning 7, woah, How is that possible?? little baby is 7!! Made memories with the people who fill my cup, and officially leveled up from Van life to RV life — new adventures are calling and we are ready. Gas prices, though... we see you.

May, you reminded me that the sweetest moments aren’t always the ones you plan, sometimes they’re just the ones that layer together perfectly. Here’s to more of that.
Catching up right at the end of a June no problem…just sharing moments as we go!! Hee Hee by @celenarenee

This past Saturday…
I celebrated my big 50 surrounded by the most beautiful people, and I felt every single bit of it.
The rain came down and we danced anyway. Friends and family traveled near and far to show up for me. And in the middle of it all, FaceTime calls from Nia and Hayden put the biggest smile on my heart.
The weeks leading up to this birthday were unlike anything I expected. I cried almost every morning… deep, sobbing, can’t-explain-it tears. For the first time in 19 years Hayden and I didn’t share our birthdays together (his on the 11th, mine on the 12th), always celebrated as one. That alone cracked something open in me. And Nia, my right hand girl, spreading her wings across the world. The house quieter than it’s ever been. That kind of empty makes you sit with yourself in ways you can’t avoid.
But here’s what I found in that stillness… clarity.
I’m not fighting 50. I’m leaning all the way into it. The lessons, the friendships, the growth, the quality of people I’ve chosen and who have chosen me back. I’m someone who can close a chapter now without looking back taking the good, leaving the rest.
Not questioning where I’m going anymore.
Just knowing, deep in my bones, that I am exactly on the path that was meant for me.
I’m stepping into this next chapter with confidence and intention.
A bit stronger, a little softer, and a whole lot wiser. It’s a vibe!!
50 feels like everything the universe has been preparing me for. Thank you to everyone who made Saturday unforgettable.
A special thank you to my amazing super human Hubby, I don’t know how he does it but that man creates extra hours in the day to make an absolutely beautiful life for us!!
And if you missed it…
Round 2 is next weekend. The celebration continues. Hee hee by @celenarenee

And just like that… 50 is officially here, and it was every single thing.
Two weekends in a row surrounded by the most beautiful people — my heart is completely full and my feet are absolutely wrecked from all that dancing (zero regrets). If this is any indication of what this chapter holds, I think more dancing might just be my thing now. Hee hee
The party was stunning. Every detail, every moment …absolutely perfect. Everyone showed up in the most fabulous garden disco glam fashion and I could not have asked for more.
Having Nia fly in from New York was truly the icing on the cake… my right hand girl, who saw my vision every step of the way and never missed a beat. And my Hayden boy sent the sweetest words over FaceTime — wrapping up his first year of college but there in spirit, and that meant everything.
My mom, I can’t thank her enough and words don’t come close to how big and beautiful and amazing she made this night for me! I will never forget. Shannon and Adam were absolute rockstars all week getting every little detail just right — the night before, the day of… these people need a vacation and they have ALL of my heart. And my little sister, showing up in every way she could, just like she always does.
My cousin Veronica arranged all the florals for the night and oh my goodness… what a talent she has. Every arrangement was absolutely beautiful.
And Eli… the hubby who always shows up with his hands and heart wide open. Every single time.

So what’s a fabulous woman supposed to do after celebrating herself for two whole weekends? Honestly… I think there are adventures just around the corner waiting for me, and I am SO ready.
This next chapter? There is so much more me happening in it. I’ve been feeling this new sense of belonging to myself lately — like I’m finally coming home to who I really am. Maybe this is exactly what the empty nest was quietly preparing me for all along.
Here’s to 50. I’m just getting started! by @celenarenee
