FEELING ALIVE IS when the wild Caribbean turns into a sad rainy sea 🌊🐚✨ by @celtic_wren

This painting captures the feeling of both freedom and captivity simultaneously. The artist intended to expose the stark duality experienced by Afro-Belizean society within a social and colonial context. The artist describes the piece as a reflection on the universal desire to break free from various constraints (whether they be societal, emotional, or personal) contrasted with the sensation of being restricted or trapped.

I believe it is a beautiful work of art and worthy of our most sincere stewardship and remembrance, as it portrays one of the cruellest and at the same time most changing contexts that the world has experienced 🌎🇧🇿 by @celtic_wren

One of the most vibrant and colorful places I have ever visited. Houses in Belize are full of colours and contrasts ✨🇧🇿🇧🇿 by @celtic_wren

Belize is and always will be one of my most cherished memories. I photographed this artwork at the National Museum of Belize, and I really enjoyed it. This artwork portrays the severe storms that the ancestors of today's Afro descendants in America endured during the colonial era. I truly enjoyed this trip because I learnt so much about history. The best way to avoid repeating the most inhuman mistakes is by preserving the memories of those who tell us their story through art and books, those who inspire us to make the world a better place 🫶🏻🌎🇧🇿 by @celtic_wren

Mom knows I love green/brown socks, so she got the best combination of colours right there 👻💚✨ by @celtic_wren
