One night, one sleeping bag and one very important cause! 💪

Last night, @simoneroche swapped her bed for a sleeping bag at Emirates Old Trafford, joining fellow business leaders for CEO Sleepout Manchester to raise awareness and vital funds to help tackle homelessness.

With the number of people facing homelessness continuing to rise, Simone wanted to do her part to make a difference and stand in solidarity with those experiencing homelessness.

And thanks to your incredible generosity, Simone has raised over £1,800! well done Simone!👏

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, shared Simone's fundraising page and supported her along the way. Your generosity has helped make this possible.

We also want to say a special thank you to @ceosleepout_uk and Bianca Robinson Jane for bringing people together to raise awareness, encourage action and support those facing homelessness.

CEO Sleepout MANCHESTER We Are On Our Way! by @ceosleepout_uk

In England, 1 in 153 people is homeless, including 175,000 children. Many households are just one pay cheque away from losing their home.

Since 2023, almost 3,000 veterans have been referred to Op FORTITUDE, the government’s scheme for veterans facing homelessness.

As someone who served and continues to advocate for Royal Navy as an Honorary Captain, this matters to me.

Walking With The Wounded supports veterans into work, better mental health and back on their feet, and £100 could buy emergency groceries for a veteran’s family.

On Monday night I’m sleeping out at Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground for CEO Sleepout UK.

I’ve hit my £800 target but now have sights set on £1000

If 18 more people give £10 before I sleep out tomorrow I’ll be made up!

Thank you to all of you that have supported with your top tips as well as welcome donations.

Our annual fundraiser is coming up this Thursday 8th October and we're hoping to raise as much as possible to help us reduce homelessness in Oxfordshire. 🙏 Any donation is hugely appreciated and makes a true impact no matter the amount.

📌 You can donate online here to our Project Director Yvonne's fundraiser page: 👉 https://ceosleepout.enthuse.com/pf/yvonne-pinner-615ed

As our core costs are covered by a kind donor, every penny raised from OHM CEO Sleepout gets put straight into our project work that aims to fill critical gaps in provisions for homelessness, so no-one falls through the net. 💛

When @carlo_weaver was fifteen years old, he and his mum were homeless for eight months.

Today he is the CEO of Apprentago, a government-funded app connecting young people with apprenticeships and work experience, and one of the people sleeping out for CEO Sleepout this autumn.

Carlo has done this before. Last year he slept outside at Lord's Cricket Ground and stood in front of two hundred CEOs to deliver a keynote about his own story. He knows what a cold night on the ground feels like. He chose to do it again.

When we asked him why, he kept it simple.

"Be kind to them. They're people just like me and you. They breathe the same air, they bleed the same colour and they all have an arsehole, just like me and you."

There is a lot more to Carlo's story than we can fit in a caption. We would encourage you to read it in his own words on his fundraising page for your daily dose of inspiration, the link is in the comments. If his story moves you, you can donate there too.

And if you want to show up alongside him this autumn, we have events across the country. Find your nearest one and register via the link below. 👇

Carlo, you truly are an inspiration. Thank you for your energy, and everything you stand for 🙏

In the centre of Sheffield, there is a place where anyone, regardless of what they are going through, can walk in without an appointment and be met with warmth, food, and someone who will listen.

That place is The @archerproject

They work with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or living with the kind of complex challenges that most services struggle to reach. Every single day. Without fanfare.

CEO Sleepout Sheffield on 12th November at Steel City Stadium is raising funds for organisations like this one. The people who sleep outside that night are doing it so that fewer people have to.

Registrations are open now. Sheffield, this is your moment. Join us here 👇

For young people in Milton Keynes facing homelessness, @ymcasouthmidlands is often the first call. And the first answer.

YMCA provides supported accommodation, advice and life skills support for young people who have nowhere safe to go. Their work is built on a simple belief: that with the right support at the right time, every young person can find a stable path forward.

Over the years, they have raised nearly £60,000 through CEO Sleepout events, with more than 100 participants having slept out for their cause.

They are one of our charity partners for CEO Sleepout Milton Keynes on 12th November at Stadium MK. There is still time to register, here 👉https://ceosleepout.co.uk/milton-keynes/

One of the things people find hard to understand about rough sleeping is why someone might turn down an offer of help. A place in a shelter, a referral to a service, a phone number to call.

The reasons are rarely simple.

Some shelters have rules, around alcohol, curfews, shared dormitories, that make them feel unsafe for people who have experienced trauma, addiction or violence. Some people have had poor experiences with services in the past and no longer trust them. Some are protecting something or someone they are not willing to leave behind, a partner, a pet, a community on the street that offers a form of belonging.

And for some, accepting help feels like the final step in losing a sense of identity and independence that, however fragile, is still theirs.

Understanding this is not about making excuses. It is about designing better services. Our charity partners do exactly that, meeting people where they are rather than where the system wants them to be.

Our autumn events fund that work. Registration is open now 👉https://ceosleepout.co.uk/sleepouts
