Cape Town Marathon. This trip took me across Jo’burg, Cape Town, and Durban, and I carried a mix of pride, pain, and wonder wherever I went. As a Kenyan, I’ll always be proud of where I’m from, and running on African soil holds a different kind of meaning for me. But in South Africa, I felt the weight of apartheid in ways I hadn’t expected. It’s one thing to know the history, and another to see its traces up close—in the rhythms of daily life, in the air itself. The beauty is real, but so is the unfinished work.

There was joy, too. South Africa gave me its own delights, and finding Kenyan favorites like vitumbua was a little taste of home—if you know, you know.

The marathon - my 13 th - felt different here, heavier in some ways, but also more connected, more alive. I wasn’t just running a race; I was part of Cape Town’s journey to be recognized as a World Marathon Major. That sense of history, and my place in it, meant everything.

I held off on sharing anything about this trip until it was official. In a way, it was my way of reflecting the struggle—of honoring the patience, the fight, the spirit of so many South Africans who have waited for real change.

I’ll be back. And now, we have a star. 🙌 @capetownmarathon ⭐️ is official @wmmajors

Who says you can’t lift and run? Hit 72.5 kg tonight—just yesterday, 60 kg felt like a struggle!

Big love to the women at Fitlab23 for always pushing me, to @betsygrace_ for the spot, and to @jg.limitless for making sure my legs are on fire. 🔥

It really shows how much it matters to have the right people, in the right place, with the right mindset to support you.

@londonmarathon is “exclusively inclusive”.

Really was a magical moment of my race … Mafia Moves are at the heart of all my runs!

Enjoy your training class of 2026! by @challengetaz

2026 isn’t a new beginning. It’s a continuation of every year I have lived so far - a story picking up right where I left off. All my past decisions, lessons - the good and the bad, and special moments are still with me, shaping what this year will be.

Valencia was not just a marathon. It was a test. My third marathon in nine weeks and my second time on this course. This was running with heart even when your head wants to quit.

First Love, Second chance 💖💖💖.

Berlin Marathon 2024 was not perfect but sometimes harder races teach you the most. 🙃

Yesterday, running felt powerful again. This time, I ran in memory of the 30 lives lost to knife crime. It was moving—not just physically, but emotionally too. We’re quick to make assumptions about others, but the truth is we never really know what someone has gone through. Knife crime is something that hits especially close to home for me, and yesterday gave me a chance to face some of that pain head on.

To every family who has lost someone to knife crime, I hope you find strength and peace. And may we all live in a world free from this violence.

Thank you to @resilient.lion @freedomthroughfitness_ for a breathtaking tribute to those that we have lost. 🪽🪽🪽

Proud to have witnessed @shivanee_prajapati run her very first 5k! The energy from the @fitlab.23 founder @ordinarylifeofhenry and co-owner @bhakti23 made it extra special. I spent most of the time behind the camera, capturing as many moments—my own way of giving back to the running world - and that was a tough gig, with every moment as Shivanee absolutely crushed it!

Coach @andrecoggins just completed 26.2 miles himself, but somehow still had the energy to film me and yell - yep put that sound on - like we’re back in Tottenham running MM. 🥰🥰🥰
