![Thought I’d share today’s journal entry with you all on my feelings as the year closes. [swipe for pictures of me looking too cute last weekend 🥰 along with a picture of me from December 2017]
Entry states: I’m coming up on nearly a year of recovery. As the year comes to a close, it made me think of all the years I attributed the success of the year to whether I lossed or gained weight. This brought me to December 2017. When December came around I was sad and concluded that I ain’t do shit in 2017 but gain weight. In 2017 I graduated law school, started my career as an attorney, took the bar exam, and PASSED! Despite all of that I felt worthless because I gained weight. My weight truly dictated my success and worth.
Now, Lelia, in Recovery, my heart goes to that me in 2017. I am so sorry that that Lelia truly could not relish in her success because she gained weight. I’m making a promise to her that I will continue to do the work so that she can see her worth beyond her weight.
This year I found me, a healthy relationship with food and fitness, and I’m working on my body image issues. So happy that as 2022 concludes I can be proud of the woman I’m becoming. by @champagnewellness_](https://scontent-ord5-1.cdninstagram.com/v/t51.82787-15/651971274_18078359654621450_722855264118916857_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_e35_s640x640_tt6&_nc_cat=111&ccb=7-5&_nc_sid=18de74&efg=eyJlZmdfdGFnIjoiQ0FST1VTRUxfSVRFTS5iZXN0X2ltYWdlX3VybGdlbi5DMyJ9&_nc_ohc=xTVmUYbVIy4Q7kNvwFbcG5v&_nc_oc=Adqe6ufbBJ8QT4QPZxKThnxwcopor-TpLna5Vr1GX_s0PG60mCw9WEtbu2qXZ4od4ifiwJYxA8750YIvShbWLjVr&_nc_zt=23&_nc_ht=scontent-ord5-1.cdninstagram.com&_nc_gid=feoctf06eoZNfzKkmgQLmQ&_nc_ss=70689&oh=00_AQQfclHpGDas57I3IpHbngMFeB4TdgProOGNcCxO5E3l2Q&oe=6AF22C5D)
