@championshipfit wins FIRST PLACE for men’s division at APEX ATX

Straight up: this performance is incredible

Ricardo put on a display of undeniable world class speed and power…and was still able to perform at an extremely high level in the strength and endurance categories

This 1st place belt was EARNED and well deserved 💯

First outdoor 4x400 in over 15 years! Was fun putting in work with the squad and competing. I don’t train for the 400 but it is fun getting in and mixing it up with the guys. Might get back on it again so we can drop some real 🔥 and break the record again 😤

For the one asking about who is on the mic @thalastword 🎤🔥 if you need someone to make your meet live you know who to go to.

How many more should I do? by @championshipfit

If yall only knew the days I’ve had. Been fighting this sickness (temp over 102 on and off but I’ll put that for the next video) when I tested negative and dropped the fever some I decided to still go run. On this video let’s just talk about the weight vest ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Info: When using a weight vest you don’t want one to be too heavy. My recommendation is one that will have you run no slower then 95% of your top speed and preferably 97-98%(we still want to be fast). With this being said your strength and body will tell you what size. This takes test and retest to figure it out. With mine I’m at exactly 97% for my flying speed.

Also be mindful that the first part of the race won’t be affected as much as the top end. My speed with the vest and without was 99% for the first 30 but I saw the actual 97% from 30-60.

Still lining up, still competing, and still getting faster. Every race is an opportunity to test myself, learn, and keep raising the standard.

The goal isn’t just to be fast for my age. The goal is to be FAST. ⚡️

Respect to everyone who steps on the line. Competition brings out the best in us.

We’re just getting started. 🏁💨

First FAT-timed weekend double in the books! 🔥🏃🏽‍♂️

Sub 7.1 and sub 7 on back-to-back days with barely any sleep! 😂 Not ideal conditions, and the race setup definitely kept us on our toes 😂 All love and a great event overall!

I won’t be fully opening up until December when the blocks and sprint spikes come out. Until then, I’m taking advantage of every quality rep, good competition, and opportunity to get faster.

Still building. Still improving. The best is yet to come! 📈🔥

How much faster do y’all think I’ll go once December hits? 👀 by @championshipfit

355 lbs. Was it pretty? That’s debatable. 😂
Did I get it up? Absolutely. 🦾

Had to test it out and get this new pr since I went through this whole strength phase. Now the weight won’t go above 80% for the next few months. Locked into speed and power 😤

I’m not a lifter. I’m an ATHLETE who lifts!

Last night’s session was all about POWER! Worked on power cleans while tracking my bar speed using VBT (Velocity-Based Training). Really enjoying the velocity tracker and the app setup so far! 📊

Now, I know my technique isn’t perfect, and I’m always looking to improve it. But my goal isn’t to become the best Olympic lifter. My goal is to develop enough technical proficiency to lift safely, move weight explosively, and transfer that power to my athletic performance. 🏃🏽‍♂️💨

The weight room is a tool, not the end goal. I want to be faster, stronger, and more explosive where it actually matters—in competition!

Still learning, still improving, and still building! 📈

Train with purpose. Lift with intent. Perform like an athlete.

Did another set how much you think it was? by @championshipfit

First time running a coed 4x400 relay, and I can honestly say I enjoyed it even though I died after☠️😂🔥🏃🏽‍♂️

Still not spiking up because I’m trying to keep these tendons healthy and play the long game(I spiked for the 60 but it was the 400m spikes). But all things considered, I ran decent.

With that being said, y’all won’t catch me running another 400 until NEXT YEAR! 😂

Huge shoutout to the adult track community for continuing to SHOW UP and SHOW OUT! 🙌🏽🔥 The energy, competition, and vibes were unmatched. Love seeing people of all ages still getting after it, competing, and pushing each other!

Stay active, keep competing, and most importantly, enjoy the process! 💪🏽🏆

APEX never disappoints 🙅‍♂️⚡️

😂 It’s funny hearing what people think when they don’t realize they’re being recorded! The “old man” still got it! 👴🏽💨

Being able to line up and compete with the younger generation is truly an honor. I love being able to do what I do at my age, being uncommon, challenging expectations, and continuing to improve. And trust me, this is just the tip of the iceberg! 🧊🔥

Considering all the traveling I did Houston ➡️ Louisiana ➡️ Austin and low sleep/recoveryI’m happy with how I performed. Ran well both days, stayed consistent with where I expected to be, and did it without starting blocks or even my Nike Maxflies!

Now I’m excited to see what happens over the next few weeks, especially heading into a new training cycle. I know there’s another level to unlock! ⚡️

One thing I really love is seeing the track community continue to grow. Young or old, it doesn’t matter. Keep showing up, staying active, competing, and pushing yourself to be better!

Let’s keep building. Let’s keep improving. We’re far from finished! 💪🏽🏆
