Sunrise musings 3/3

Victoria has such a wonderful smile. It's contagious. She shared some of her stories. I shared some of mine, and we decided to create some images to remember.

"I feel empowered right now" she said to me and I took that and tried to use it as my mantra.

Believing in oneself is an exercise, is not an objective. Practicing self trust is like eating nutritious food. You can't do it just once and expect permanent results.

Thank you @flandes_victoria for taking me out for breakfast, and having self trust served on each other's plate.

Sunrise musings 2/3

Sunrise on the beach is my favourite breakfast. Victoria and I went for coffee and sat down to talk about portraits, we ended up talking about life and self expectations and art. All whilst having a j while walking on a golf course. You know. Like old friends do. We planned a session on my roof, with more production, my trusty yellow background, but she had to leave back to her touring job in Europe, so I offered an early rise session on the beach. Which has become my happy place throughout this year's I've been in the Caribbean.

My camera is still afraid of the waves, and is asking for retirement.

Sunrise Musing 1/3

I am always flattered when people approach me asking for pictures, and even more so when it's friends of mine, I often use that opportunity to shake off any noise I have inside my head. And boy has my self-saboteur been noisy as of lately.

When I met Victoria some months ago we had a sparkle, we looked at each other and both said: "it feels as if we are long time friends" and decided to treat each other like that: old time friendships are so comforting. by @chanes.chanes

Illich's Tulum Night 3/3

Part of going out, and important part of me, is people watching. There's a special je-na-sais quois, in seeing people having fun. And being able to snap pictures non-intrusively is always a challenge.

Illich's Tulum stop 2/3

I'm very familiar with the night, I rarely go out nowadays. But having the chance to share a booth space and taking pictures will always feel like home.

I miss it, and I miss good sound systems as well.

Illich's Tulum Stop

I met Illich in 2020, a group of lovely people were looking for some help here in Playa, I stepped up to the challenge and did my best helping and connecting them with the right people. Meeting like-minded souls is always a breath of fresh air. by @chanes.chanes

Life is a never ending lesson.

Aprender, siempre.
Últimamente he estado enfrascado en mi cabeza.
